I was there travelling alone as a white woman 2001. It was so great! Everybody was really friendly and said " howsit" and was just chilling. They even let me play basketball, white men I know would not have done that.
Lived in Berlin for 20 years, now that is a dangerous place where ice and meth and crack addicts feel like killing you when they come down.

I live in Tucson Arizona, USA, 60 miles from the Mexican border and in "the old west" as they say. I've been here since 1995 and never had to wear or use a firearm. And they say I live in one of the most dangerous cities in America. It's doesn't hold a candle to Joberg or Cape Town. My prayers
