People who have been in the Pokémon community for years and have spent those years collecting disown scalpers. Scalpers are what have made me stop playing the TCG game smh 🤦‍♀️

I’m unfortunately late to the game when it comes to sitting outside for releases but the one time I did it was actually pretty cool. Spent the time talking to the guys in front of me about what we were excited about. one of them left to get hot chocolate while waiting and when he got back let him back in his spot and as a thanks he got the 4 of us a donut and hot chocolate each. Just awesome and extremely nice gamers. Sadly what we were after was limited edition and they ran out before we got ours but still a fun time that I’d be down to do again.

What's sad now a days is that I have to go to conventions to get Pokemon packs/boxes just at a decent price instead of buying off amazon/e-bay. I have to wait a year just to get cards to play a game with my family. Like wtf

the thing is very recently popmart (figurine blind box sellers) stopped selling the labubu/monsters series because people were getting violent and there was an overall toxic culture around them. saying businesses will always cater to you is ignorant and selfish, they care about their professional reputation, not what a few scalpers think of them.

the real problem here is the supply is incredibly low, why are the print runs for this set not 5x? scalpers wouldn't even look at pokemon if they knew it was plentiful and easy to get, it is only because its artificially rare because the print runs are intentionally small this is even happening. scarcity is driving demand and your looking at the end result of corporate greed.
