what could be the upper age limit for upcoming CGL.

It should be from 1 jan 23 according to past trends.

but a RTI reply is being shared on various platforms which says SSC consider age as per the T2 exam date.

If this is the case many aspirants who are on the borderline of upper age limit will be out of race.

For the past three years SSC takes tier 2 in 2nd half or later than that but considers age from Jan 1.

clearly  ssc is not following any rule of DOPT.SSC CGLE 2023 NOTIFICATION is scheduled to be announced by APRIL 2023.
But the Age reckoning date is expected to be Aug 1, 2023,
which would debar many aspirants who are on the borderline of upper age criteria.

According to the past trend, SSC CGLE tier 2 is conducted every year in the second half of the year but the Date of age reckoning is considered from 1st January.

In 2019,
Notification came in October 2019.
Date of age reckoning was 1 January 2020.
It should have been from 2019 as it was the exam of 2019.
And it was notified in 2019.
Tier 2 was conducted in November 2020.
i.e not in 1st half or 2nd half of year 2019.

clearly, SSC is not following any rule of Dopt.
If they say they consider age as per the date of Tier 2 exam then, why did they consider the Age reckoning date from 1st Jan 2020?  They should have considered it from August 2020. They should have considered it from August 2020.
But ideally, they should have considered it from Aug 2019 as it was the exam of 2019 and it was notified in 2019. 

In 2020,
Notification came in December 2020.
Date of age reckoning was 1 January 2021.
It should have been from 2020 as it was the exam of 2020.
and was notified in 2020.
Tier 2 was conducted in January 2022.
i.e clearly not in 1st half or 2nd half of year 2020.

Here again, we can see SSC is not following any rules. 

In 2021,
Notification came in December 2021.
Date of age reckoning was 1 January 2022.
It should have been from 2021 as it was the exam of 2021
and was notified in the year 2021.
Tier 2 was conducted in August 2022.
i.e not in the 1st half of the year.
again here they cannot say they consider the age as per the Tier 2 exam date.

In 2018,
they have considered the Age from August 2018,
but in 2019 they considered it from 2020.
They wasted 1 complete year of the aspirants.

Sir, why should students suffer because of the irregularities and inefficiency of SSC?

As a General category candidate, we already go through hard times.83 percent of the CGL vacancies are under 27 years old
If CHSL is a exam with 12th criteria and max age 27
then CGL should be with graduation and 30 years
Why this disparity..even when they keep 80,000 vacancies in CGL for 2022 and 2023...and period from 2017 felt like famine.Nothing For Those who sacrificed their precious years and new comers are reaping the benefits.

Students are facing innumerable circumstances since last 5 years due to corruption,lack of vacancies,court cases and late results.Each SSC exam took 36 months to get over..also there is huge damage done by TWO WASTEFUL CORONA VIRUS YEARS.

Total vacancy under 27 years - 31600.
Total no of posts - 37409.

IF RAILWAY NTPC can Take Level 2,3,4,5,6 till the age of 30.
SSC CGL too works under central government and they have to act.

For SSC CGL Exam 2022...date of reckoning was 1 Jan,2022.
So technically SSC has NEVER gave age relaxation.

I greatly owe you, Sir, if you could extend your kindness to entrust SSC to fix the age reckoning date as Jan 1, 2023,
or increase the upper age limit for the posts to 33
as in the case of Railway Recruitment Board.

Recently many state govts like Maharashtra increased their upper age limit for State PSCs.

So please do the needful
