Thank you, thank you for being so clear in your descriptions! So helpful for future projects!!
This was so very helpful. Are we able to count the stitches in a garter stitch project also ? Thanks . 🙏🏼
This has absolutely saved my brain since I first saw it on your channel. Especially casting on. That used to be so much harder than it should have been. ❤
Love the Oscar commentary! What a brilliant and fun presentation <3
I learned this, back in my childhood, and sometimes I use it, but I still love my row counters.
I remember, knitting a hat with many increases, and all my “little strings” got all tangled up 😮. I was so frustrated. That’s when I started to use stitch markers. ❤
Vertical Running Markers are also great/ essential for measuring the lengths of twosomes--sleeves, socks, mitts...
Thank you thank you thank you! so simple and so effective!
Who wouldn’t use this tip once they know about it! Thank you!
My mother always used bits of wool for all marking of this and other types.
Love my collection of stitch markers. Decorates my project. Good method though.😊
So, so useful! Thank you!
I learned running markers from one of your previous videos. I just loooooove your tutorials, and your sense of humor 🧶😆 Seasons Greetings to you and yours ❤️🎄 Special cuddles to the adorable Oscar 💗🐾
That's a very, very helpful tip. Thank you for sharing!😊
Greetings from Germany
This is such a great idea! I use a combo of different gadgets to keep track of rows and repeats. Going to try this with my next project.
I'm from Germany. And I'm 61 years old. And now I see your Video. Thank you so much for showing. That's absolutely great and no money for the Yarn to mark this rows. I love your Videos. My english is not so good, but this Video is easy to understand. Thank you so much❤
Thank you for your video. I am going to try this. I currently use stitch markers and a row counter, but I am always losing my stitch markers somewhere.
This is amazing! I will try this on my next project! Thank you 😊
Such a simple concept!! Can’t wait to try it!
I am absolutely going to use running markers 😍
What a game changer. I’ve heard Of lifelines for lace knitting but never this. Thank you so much. So simple and effective! My kind of method.
Why didn’t I think of that! I put in lifelines but not a traveling counter upward. So glad I clicked you video. This will make my knitting more relaxed ( with adhd you need this kind of help 😊, always distracted so…) had to laugh wen you say “ asks me how I know” I use that frase a lot to. I’m definitely going to check out your other videos.
Genius, pure genius. I cannot thank you enough for
Fabulous idea! Once I've figured out how to implement int on the loom - I'll be incorporating into my current project (raglan for a friend) today!! Also, I'll be sharing it with my fellow loom knitters - thx SOOO much!
What a wonderful video!
Gracias!
I imagine the running marker would be helpful when intentionally knitting off gauge, particularly for armhole depth or neck shaping. Lay down the yarn marker every inch or two as a reminder of where to start doing increases. Just a thought. Your videos are very helpful. Thanks.
I am going to be knitting a lace pattern with 16 pattern repeat and for sure I will try this method. I am also one of those “constantly counting her stitch count, even with stitch markers” (I don’t trust myself😉) so your techniques will make knitting more fun and less stressful. Thank you for your videos and your touch of humor and the “doggie” touch too.
Your work is remarkable, thank you for sharing.
My grand-mother (born 1907) used the running thread to mark her knitting, and taught me that trick. I have 60+ yers of knitting… Nothing new here…
I’m going to try this for sure 🎉
I am a first time subscriber. I definitely am going to start using this method to keep track of my cables. Thanks. Looking forward to more tips in the future. ❤
So nice to have a simple method of keeping track to be able to proceed with confidence. Thanks!!
I'm Dutch, 65 and a very bad knitter. A few years ago I decided the make Walldorf style dolls. And of course they had to be dressed. This way I started knitting again and learning a lot. This tip comes in very handy. Thank you.
Thank you for this invaluable life changing method!
Thanks for this. It’ll be a huge help!
Oh, that grace notes sweater is amazing. I think i may have to make one!
Hi Anna, I made this cake yesterday with walnuts and it’s unbelievable delicious! Thanks for the recipe!🙏🏻😊😋
Super cool, gonna try today 😊 thanks so much ❤
Thank you this is an economical alternative to what I m using as a new knitter. I bought a small box of 10 different colored safety pin bulb style markers and use them the same way. The colors help me identify rows and patterns plus decreasing etc allowing me to set the project down and come back to it later and know where I am in the design. For example when starting the decrease on the toe of the sock I connect a pink marker and blue marker together, when knitting the row the pink marker hangs on my needle after the 1st stitch with the blue dangling down. When round is completed and decreasing round begins I flip the pink marker off and place the blue marker on the needle and know I’m decreasing this round even if I set down my work in the middle. Also I hang a marker every 10 stitches when casting on for easy counting too. I won’t go into how I use them to mark a prototype sock that allows me to knit socks of different leg lengths by using these colored pins to include every aspect of the heel , foot and toe besides the cuff and leg. A piece of yarn can work for this as well. Thanks again for this tip and your master classes I’m learning a lot!😊
Thank you. I will definitely start using this approach!
This was a great hack. Going to try.
Hello, fellow yarners! Thanks so much for taking your precious time to leave a comment here I just wanted you to know that I am reading them ALL, but I'm running around like an emotional support chicken with its head cut off getting ready for some holiday travel this week, so I'm going to be sloooow in responding to questions. Thanks so much for your patience and your kind words! p.s. Oscar says Hi
