Awesome stuff as always brother....post this in our primitive group Ryan Gill would love this....
Sehr interessanter Bogen, gute Arbeit
Well done brother, that is an impressive skill that is very much appreciated by me.
Bought book about week ago. Solid read with lots of information. So many things I realized I was doing wrong. I just started my bow making project about 2 months ago. So far I'm 0-4. Lol. Book will help a ton
Seems like this stave would have been better as an HLD. Have you tried this design before?
That's a beauty
Nice job, it came out really nice.
Nice snaky bow. Shoots well. I made a similar yew bow, shorter with recurved tips. It has a sinew back and pulls about 45#. Yours would increase if you shortened it and added sinew, should you want that. It would shoot much more harshly, though, and the draw length would decrease. Good seeing you wearing a mask, yew dust is toxic!
One of the most intriguing and impressive things I've watched. Such a great video and a wonderful skill you'll seemingly mastered. Good on you, bro. Thanks for sharing.
I'm gonna try making one . You have inspired me. !!!!! Thank you !!!!
Color contrast with yew looks so good also unique how the sap/heartwood work together. Do you cut the yew yourself?
Sweet!!
Idk that much about wood but that don't really look like a yew wood branch but still cool.
Ответитьbravo, c'est quoi comme bois ?
Nice 👍🏻!
Beautiful ,,, well done ... I watch this many times ... D
ОтветитьÓtimo, o arco ficou muito bom.
Oh my, that is so beautiful! The stinker in me is thinking though, that is a bow asking to be sinew backed with three good layers.
Ответитьhow did you make the arrows and from what?
Never made my own from scratch (just assembled from fletches, nock and head). Always thought that making decent arrow shafts would be more difficult than making a selfwood bow.
too young, need a stave split from the trunk of a larger tree, with few knots
Great video My Brother! How long start to finish?
Nice
I watched the entire thing, regretted nothing. When the "straightening required" moment happened I giggled and couldn't help thinking "mmmm..just a bit" and in seconds it was straight and looking incredible. This video was artistry.
That's nice you need to make cross bows also
Ответитьhowlong did you dry this wood and how?
Winner winner chicken dinner!
Still digging these vids!!🏹
This is a beautiful bow. I'm amazed.
Can I ask why you chose to go for the narrow static tips? Was it just an aesthetic choice?
Thanks for making a sapling bow.
Ive been working with maple saplings, its nice to see someone else make a twisty bow.
Also, quite like how you used the natural curve of the tree for your recurve. Something ive been trying, but haven't followed thru.
Very encouraging.
cracking video. I always thought it had to be straight.
Blimey!!! You are obviously an experienced person, since you are doing such cool things !!!
That is an amazing video - brilliant! Thank you, I've learned more in 8 minutes than hours of 'tutorials', well done and thanks again :)
Dude seriously you are an artisan of bows.
Super
Nice and wiggly. 👍
If you put some sand or maybe even some gravel in your tillering pulleys and salt up the internal mechanism of your tillering scale you can have a nice pleasant experience tillering while being driven to deafness by all the jarring screeching and grinding of your equipment. So nice, you'll want to do it twice.
Will a sapling only make a lower poundage bow or?…
Hey wat did u use at the tip on each side wat material is that black stuff
Exelent bow its a beauty but Isnt yew toxic?
Very nice work ! How long have you had left wood drying before shaping the bow ?
Gracias
What kind of wood finish is that?
Que madera sirve.... gracias
Very cool man 😎👍💯🔥🏹
