Toyota was very ahead of it's time ensuring that blind people would still be able to feel around for the controls and operate the HVAC while they are driving. Nowadays nobody thinks about how to accommodate blind drivers.

You can just buy some vinyl wrap that imitates cloth (it’s fabric like) and wrap that interior piece. It’ll look way cleaner than those random cutouts of tape. Plus you can choose your own design.

This thing sounds exactly like my Chevy Bolt. Right down to the annoying sun-catching chrome.
I eventually got some matte black paint and fixed the problem, but boy was that a terrible design.

I promise you it’s NOT quieter than a Lexus. Maybe a Tesla, but not a Lexus.

KIA interiors are basically Chevy interiors. Same with quality I find. KIA and Hundai and just GM Korea. Not a bad thing. Not a Toyota/Lexux thing, but not a bad thing.

Kia's HVAC controls are worse in the current Sorento. As someone who's been sent to Vancouver to be trained how to fix Kia EVs I can say the engineering of Kia's EV's is actually pretty good! The "throttle" response of them is very odd however.

Here's a tip: When you're plugged in at home ...... set the car to heat everything up for 20 minutes, before you set off. Do it from your bed, on your phone app.

My sister bought this Kia, and one day she used another power outlet plug to charge it overnight, and the whole garage of stuff and a car burned to the ground. It happened like a month ago. Somewhat sad. We all loved this car. Now she bought gasoline volvo and the driving experience got 10 times less interesting for everyone.

I got a chevy bolt for pretty much the same reason that you got this car. Just want a microwave that I can drive around... You might have well just been saying all of this about that car. even down to the fake chrome that needs to be covered in tape.

Did you get the Niro EV with the Cold Weather Package? If you have the package it adds a heat pump which increases heating power and efficiency significantly. Ours has the package and it heats up so quickly and so hotly it's quite amazing.

Meh. Thanks for the video. Gonna pass on these Korean EV’s. That clearance from the battery to the ground is ridiculously small. The noise it makes when backing up is equally ridiculous but atleast wont destroy your car if you go over a speed bump.
