This video was quite informative and enjoyable! Also, regarding the warm beauty blender, I don't think it's just in your head, heat generally helps to melt oils down (think of scrubbing a greasy pan with hot water as opposed to cold) ... So given that most beauty products do feature some type of oil in the formula, I think it's completely plausible 😅

My only tip I can offer (probably everyone does this anyways but) I always blend out foundation and concealer with blenders that are soaked ALOT in warm water and for some reason it always comes out smooth

My biggest hack that is my savior when it comes to my under eyes and the creasing and cakeyness is, after doing all my makeup including my concealer and powder and whatnot, I will take a setting spray(honestly, any type will do) and spray some on the back of my hand(just one or two small spritzes) and then use my ring finger and lightly dab it into the setting spray and then lightly dab it under my eyes and then just keep dabbing and patting until it's fully Blended in and dry. It is probably the best makeup hack I've ever tried and it worked really well for me too. I'm in my 30s and have some fine lines already and it helps with the creasing. You can also do this hack anytime of the day if you notice your undereyes looking cakey or dry or creasing. ❤❤

Completely agree with the warm beauty blender technique. I’ve been doing that for a few years, and find there’s a huge difference in how my foundation goes on if my blender is warm vs cold. Always so disappointed if I’m doing makeup on the run and it’s gotten cold because I know it’s not going to work as well.

Tips for powder, bronzer and highlight <3 ~
For powder:
If you find that powder oxidizes your foundation or concealer, try blotting your face gently with blotting paper or a tissue BEFORE putting on the powder. This also works if you have a problem with your powder looking cakey and thick no matter what you do.

For bronzer:
If your bronzer looks patchy no matter what you do, your bronzer may not be the right undertone for you. If you're warm toned (yellow undertones), a warm toned bronzer (yellowish brown, maybe even a bit ocre if you have strong yellow undertones); if you're cool toned (pink undertones), a cool toned bronzer (reddish-brown, maybe even a bit grey if you're very cool toned). If you're somewhere in the middle, finding a bronzer with a good balance between warm and cool is the key (less orangey and more true brown).

For highlighter:
For the most flattering and natural highlighter application, tilt your head in different directions to see where the light hits your face: highlight there.

Hope this helps someone xo

My personal make up hack is: I'm using lipliner instead of lipstick to fill my lips, because it is more precise and it looks more natural to me...

To make concealer (and probs foundation) last longer use setting spray before you have powdered and the after to like solidify your concealer. Will last me a full 8 hour shift at good old wally-world

using foundation instead of concealer works for me, and no foundation on skin that doesnt need concealer, it keeps your skin less packed and the foundation doesn't seep into your pores. (less spots) its also nice when you have natural freckles and it compliments eyeliner quite well.
if you don't have a certain colour eyeliner, do brown liner and the colour you want on top. (this only works for dark colours)

My tip for sparse or fine brows i like to take a brow pomade in a lighter shade, one-two shades lighter then use pen or pencil that matches your hair to do hair like strokes. It gives the most natural gradiants brows. Xx

My tip for covering a spot. Is after using a green concealer on the spot, it neutralises the redness but looks dark. I lightly set it with a peachy salmony coloured eyeshadow before foundation. X

Omfg I use eye cream on my smile lines too. I thought if it helps with fibe lines why couldn't it work on smile lines and forehead creases. ❤❤ also warm water on beauty blender is a yesss!! I find it spreads products better. Also a light sprits of a glowy or hydrating setting spray on my damp sponge make my skin look so fresh. X

I do that thing with drawing eye wing with eyeshadow first too cus I suck at drawing even looking wings on both eyes. For the setting whole face and mascara running down - don't do your mascara last I like to do my eyes, then the whole blush, contour and highlighter steps and lastly lips, that way your mascara has time to dry and it won't transfer onto face after spraying setting spray on your face. I have combinatiom/oily skin and I know damn well the struggles

Tip; buy a fan, Instead of drying your skincare with your hands use a fan, same with your setting spray, I have 2 fans one for my makeup in my bedroom and one for my skincare in the bathroom.

I never understood how people or mua put the slightest veil of powder with a brush and it would be enough. personally I have dry skin and I still use a powder puff and pack the powder on until the skin is smooth to touch. but I can see how it might not work once I have more lines on my face.

Honestly, my favourite thing that I've started doing is mixing my foundation with strobe cream. It makes it more like a slightly more covered tinted moisturiser, makes my skin look less dull and stops it drying so quickly!

If you hate the feel of moisturiser or primer and are really avoiding something thick or oily you can use aloe vera gel, 99% pure, it absorbs quickly and is completely transparent

My biggest problem with makeup is finding shit that doesn't pill on my face. Regardless if it's both "compatible" (silicone base vs water base) and stuff like that, it still pills especially around my eyes. Is over blending a thing that makes products pill??? Even when I wait 5+ mins after applying my skincare, my products pill. Not just my moisturizer, but also my concealer (don't wear foundation much) and my morning eye cream, color corrector for undereye, etc... and like, it's not always the same product that pills... What am I doing wrong?!?!

Yep loved all of this! I’m a makeup artist, did a year in an Advanced private school! I would say for brows… I found that IF you have light brown or lighter brow color, try putting some powder with a brush, over ur brows too once you’re done applying them! Helps with any shine so they don’t disappear all that much! 💖
