i watched so many videos and i just can't get any to work, idk what i'm doing wrong

I thought my cheap practice lock was busted but after reading the recent comments... It's definitely a skill issue I'm suffering from xD I'll keep practicing.

Hey! So my pins dont stick, is that an lock issue or just that u used it too much.

We’ve been trying to pick a lock identical to yours and haven’t gotten close 😢 all we can think is that we don’t know how much pressure to be using on the twisting one. Help!!

I have an assortment of Trainer lock like this, and other style. For the life of me this one here is the only lock I just can not pick

What if the padlock has a secruity pin?

Wife got me a set for Christmas and HOLY FUCKING SHIT this fucking thing pisses me off. Can't get it open for the life of me. I wish these tutorials helped, but some stuff is just too vague. "A little bit of pressure on the bottom of the keyway tension". GREAT. Does "a little bit of pressure" mean the weight of my fingers? Should I be squeezing a little bit? Fuck this shit has me so pissed.

I must have the absolute best practice pad lock ever made.
An acrylic 6 pin that will not open to single pin picking, raking, rocking or zipping.
I know I'm an amateur but I should popped this by now. I can't be this incompetent with a see thru lock.

I'm unable to pick a single lock no matter what I try using cheap Chinese lockpicks. Some locks are too small for my pins to go in. This tutorial is not useful have spent a week and no luck in so frustrated

Idk what’s wrong w me, it’s been 3 days, switching between diff tension, starting at the back, the front, I feel click, I feel like I’m getting close, it never opens. Realized I was tensioning too hard, been experimenting with every position I can with the tensioner…I’m going mad. Funny part is the rake opened it a couple times but I really want to learn single pin picking. I switched locks too, will open it a few times to make sure I haven’t created my own issues by maybe creating shavings that are filling pin holes…I won’t stop til I get it but damn this is nuts

Can somebody please post a link on a good clear lock to buy like he is using in the video to follow along with? Im very visual learner and dont want to buy the wrong one. I was given a southord set as a gift but dont know what dummy lock to buy to follow along

I can't lockpick but yet somehow my first lockpick was a safe

gonna give it another go now, i think my problem is too much tension when raking because some of the pins stay up too high

None of my pins have resistance. None click. They are all slack. I can't even get into my first easy tumbler clear lock. Been trying every night for two months.

Watched this series and was able to pick my first lock.
A couple attempts later and I got it down to 20ish seconds lol (on my transparent padlock haha)

None of these worked i have spent 2 hours trying

Everyone is saying this is the best video for lockpicking so I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I put the tension wrench in, and while constantly applying tension, I rake over the pins over and over and over and not even 1 ever sets. Then when I try single picking the pick is too large and always ends up pushing all the pins upwards instead of just 1 at a time. I know I didn’t get the wrong tool either because it came together in a set.
