Used half a cup of almond milk instead of regular milk and they still turned out great. My Grandma used to make these and I loved them as a kid, I was never able to get any of her recipes before she passed away. Thanks for sharing yours.

My Nana called them poodle cookies. I don't really know why, but that's how my whole family knows them.

I just moved to southwest Virginia a year ago & had my first one of these - but here they are called "preacher cookies" because they can be made with things usually on hand in the house if the preacher came to visit. Love your videos & your love for your family traditions ❤️

Growing up, my best friend’s mom always made these. Once in a while she added a handful of raisins. Makes for a very nice change. I still make these and they are a huge hit with my kids :)

I’m so sorry for your loss. My grandmother passed away about 15 years ago and it is still one of the hardest things I’ve gone through. She was the perfect grandma. Spoiled us rotten with food, love, and most importantly her time. The only thing she loved more than spending time with her grandkids was spending time with the Lord. To this day I consider her the best person I have ever met and miss her constantly.

We call them, "Real cool cookies". We still call them that!
