Wait, so this inflation, is partially still an effect from 2008? GHEISBDJICKVJODKNHH
Ответить"You know... supply and command" trailer park boys.
ОтветитьI everyone's thoughts are now June 2022!!
ОтветитьThis aged like fine milk. 10 months later, inflation is currently 8.5%. I was enjoying this channel, but seeing you fell for the "it's TRANSITORY inflation" bullshit (that was so obviously bullshit at the time) is rather disappointing.
ОтветитьHere from the future. It's bad
ОтветитьYou should release an update to this, now that mortgage rates are 6%+
ОтветитьThis video did not age well
ОтветитьDamn the whole time i thought this was from today!
Great work.
This didn’t age well lol fed hiked the rate
ОтветитьOne correction: the original definition of inflation is an inflated monetary supply not a general increase in prices. The fed changed it to that so that people couldn’t blame them as easily for inflation.
ОтветитьWatching this 10 months later and wow
ОтветитьJo Biden hit like and subscribe to learn more
ОтветитьCan you give us an update
ОтветитьThe stock market. Crush that fcking casino.
ОтветитьYet we are 8%-9% inflation right now. The President could have done something as well. However, he didn't!
ОтветитьPersonally I think cheap money is not the best thing for the economy. Lower interest rates punish savers and reward spenders. The consumption based economy of the 90s and early 2000s only expanded because of easy credit and people taking on more debt. One of my heroes is Paul Volcker; the man who jacked up interest rates to 13 percent in the early 80s to combat inflation. He had the discipline to keep rates high for a long time and tightened money supply . People put their $$$$ on the sidelines for about 5 years. The Reagan tax cuts made a difference. The price to pay was a near devastating recession in 1982-83. Volcker finally lowered rates gradually keeping them between 6 and 7 percent. He didn’t want rates too low because it would discourage savers. Lower oil prices and cheaper consumer goods from overseas helped greatly in quashing inflation entirely to a point that economists were worried about deflation
ОтветитьKiller work bro
ОтветитьUS inflation goes up to more than 5% : everybody goes nuts.
Argentina inflation is currently at 54% by July 2022: we don't give a f...
Hahaha.
I know I know, is not the same thing in the US with the dollar, than in Argentina with the peso, which is basically useless paper than you can barely wipe your 4ss with...
3% inflation rate seems like a dream a year later
ОтветитьI'm watching this at 9.1% inflation lol
ОтветитьSo, watching this one year later, with an inflation rate at 8.5% overall and massively more for meat, eggs, gasoline etc...and the Fed hiking the interest rate by .75 basis points at each meeting.
What is your prognosis now?
Rip 🙏 future viewers!
ОтветитьHEY ISNT THESE ACTUALLY WERE TAUGHT IN SHS ECONOMIC?? CLASS....???
ОтветитьThe ignorant people who voted for the Democrats are ultimately responsible for the mess we are in.
If you don't understand politics then rather stay at home and wear your mask and take another vaccine instead causing sh!t.
If inflation is a result of excess money floating around in the community, and money is essentially the product of production and work then there is another option - significantly raise business tax. This will mean that any new businesses will not want to open in the United States, or whichever country, as inflation is global.
Fight me.
Well...
ОтветитьThis last part doesn't make sense. People go out and buy things and that causes inflation? If that was true, why didn't we see a massive spike when folks were buying lots of homes in the 2000s?
Ответить"It's not ideal but it's not going to be Zimbabwe" I love that line.
Ответитьthey did do that in the end
ОтветитьI also bought bad stock, can I strangle my neighbors now?
ОтветитьBoy has that video aged terribly 😂
ОтветитьWell this aged well
ОтветитьMaybe the economy NEEDS to just crash?
ОтветитьI wish you would have mentioned how monopolistic practices are also a large part of the inflation problem
ОтветитьInflation is theft in the savings of the citizens. Interest rates should be increased to bring inflation down to normal levels. Excessive money printing by the FED should also be ceased to prevent inflation of the US dollar.
Ответить18 days after this video released I made a million dollars in a short squeeze
ОтветитьThis is tye classic circular logic of self-referential causality. Contrary to the Krugman's of the world, it is not just the perception of things that matter but also the hard boundaries of productivity compared to the financial health of not just the stock market without which society can live without but what it can't live without is a productive citizenry and production businesses. Inflation doesn't just make the citizens poorer but the companies will also face reduced demand and reduce supply to match acting as a damping force on the signals that the central planners rely on to make the wild guesses upon. The notion of a market functioning more efficiently on market signals while the mode of transaction both separated it from our moneyary policy influencing the same. The hard fact is the central planners have stopped pretending to follow previous knowledge and are engaged in trying whatever sticks and crossing their fingers.
Quantitative easing aka Money Printer go BRRR
Great video... can you do an inflation update for 2023 video??
ОтветитьOkay, it rose trom 2% to 3%p.a....
ОтветитьBro here in NZ we’ve had 7% inflation 💀. R we even a first world country at this point?
ОтветитьMaybe it’s because I’m a Zoomer but I think houses should be seen as homes, not investments.
I’m actually generally a capitalist so I’m not sure if/what regulation would fix this, but if people saw houses as homes it would still allow investors to buy homes and rent them, but make homes more affordable for the average person.
December 2023. Still dealing with high inflation!
ОтветитьDamn this aged poorly
ОтветитьHurting auto makers and dealers
Me: You sold me. Do it.
Stop printing money?
ОтветитьId like to know why the government hasnt stopped printing money.
ОтветитьDidn't age well
Ответить
