Lavrov Says Trump 'Emotional' Over Sabotaged Ukraine Peace Efforts by Europe

In a dramatic exchange of diplomatic signals, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Donald Trump is showing emotion after witnessing European politicians sabotage his peace efforts in Ukraine. Lavrov, speaking after a meeting with Turkish FM Hakan Fidan, said Trump “wants results” and reacts strongly when he sees what he called "reckless actions" being encouraged by a small group of EU leaders—including drone strikes on Moscow and a chopper reportedly carrying Putin. Lavrov reiterated Russia’s willingness to return to peace talks—excluding Vatican as a venue. Meanwhile, Trump has called Putin "crazy" following a fresh wave of Russian missile attacks on Ukraine. The Kremlin attributed the remark to “emotional overload” but thanked Trump for his role in initial peace negotiations.
