Within the last 10 years, I can remember gas being $1.50 a GALLON! It's at about $3.00 a gallon now.

Homeless people sing you got to remember about the homeless people and the programs that they have here in the states some of those programs are completely full and there's a waiting list for a homeless people to get into beds and into programs to help them get out of where they're at. I'm friends with somebody who is homeless down in Florida and area where she's at is a lot of tourists stay down there does not tolerate homeless people sitting on the street corner panhandling

I just found you and I've been enjoying watching your videos and hearing your opinions on the US. I'm really glad that you love it here so much. It's also great seeing a fellow female solo traveler that is so passionate about seeing the world. What you said about learning not to be too trusting is something that struck me. I'm 38 and my first solo trip across the US was when I was 20. I've had some negative experiences while traveling but the vast majority of them have been positive. I find that so much of it is in how you approach a situation and how you treat people and I always go into situations hoping for and expecting the best while at the same time remaining aware of my surroundings and the people around me. There's a difference between being trusting and being stupid and, from what I've seen, you're definitely not stupid.

I look forward to watching more of your videos. Never let anything stop you from exploring this wonderful world of ours.

I grew up in the US and it is pretty much taught by parents to "treat people how you would like to be treated" and to respect alders and women, and American's we go that little bit farther and go if I'm really nice to people they will be really nice to me. and taught this at a vary young age.

You did the math backwards in converting $/gallon to Euro/liter. If you paid $4 gallon for gas and 1 gallon is equal to 3.78 liters than you are paying $1.06 per liter. Now the current conversion of $ to Euros is $1 equals .895 Euros. So $1.06 equals .95 Euros which is less than half the $2 Euros per liter you pay in France and only slightly more than what you paid in Cyprus.

Homelessness = drug abuse. For those who are homeless there are programs to get them homes, but those addicted to drugs care more about their addiction than finding shelter. I’ve lived in California, Tennessee and now Minnesota and it is the same everywhere when I talk to those that are homeless, or my family members and 2 friends who have worked with them for a living.

Sweetheart, you are experiencing something many of us have called "FOMO" which is the Fear Of Missing Out. Life these days seems to move at light speed and the older one gets it feels it goes even faster. My only advice to you is embrace the fear and replace it with faith...in yourself and just keep exploring. You were clearly born with a passionate wanderer's soul. Just keep doing what you have been but do try and be a bit more gentle with yourself. You do not have to see it all, not as fast as possible. Life is like good food and good company, it's best savored and not rushed. As for things you pointed out about America, we (Americans) see all that too and wonder what is to become of this...or us...all the time. It's the human condition to see what things we can accomplish and yet so much we also fall short on. I don't have the answers any more than you do. Only more questions and that is a fact you will see no matter what time goes by that will not change. Just be the best you that you can be and take care of those you encounter along the way and those that take care of you. That is the legacy you are weaving into the cosmos & fabric of time. ❤❤❤

99% of the homeless in The USA are not homeless. They are drug addicts, and don't want a home, because homes take work and responsibility to maintain. Offer a homeless person here a job and they will laugh at you or try to rob and murder you. Do not feel sorry for them, they have had several opportunities to not be in the situation they are in, and will always choose drugs. They put their habit above your safety and well being, and so does the government. The U.S. government puts the average US citizen last on its list of people to care about.
That said, you are a breath of fresh air. I love your videos.

It seem simple to moi. Tax the wealthy et house, feed et clothe et educate the poor. Not one person dans America needs more than it takes for survival. Je understand, people earn what they THINK they have, most have not..... It's been handed down to them through hereditary obnoxiousness. SO, non homme or femme shall have too much, et none too little....we should share bounty. Not for a perfect Union BUT for a more better and beautiful et equal world❤

I've seen more and more public restrrooms changing to solid walls and doors for their stalls. So there's a positive change! I think it often depends on whether businesses are able to afford the update, how much foot traffic they get, etc.

Also, I agree that we Americans tend to be kind in general. However I think we tend to have more cliques, too - in society as a whole. Communities can be standoffish to transplants from other states, cities or towns.

I'm so glad Marie is getting to travel the U.S., because it's nice to see her joy as she discovers different parts of America.

You are too critical about France. Many years ago when I first traveled in France, I was traveling on a shoe-string. Starting from a French friends' home in Paris, took off to visit on trains, buses, and hitchhiking. I hitched down to Lyon and then on the way to Grenoble I was picked up by older guy who invited me to stay with his family. He introduced to a friend my age who took me to stay at his place in Marseille.

Then I went to Arles and on to Toulouse where I met students who invited me to their house. On to Bordeaux and Nantes where both times I met someone to stay with. Then up to Orleans where I met someone else. Back then to Paris. I have many other such stories I could tell of other trips.

True on the homeless. It depends on where you live. In my state you don’t see it much. Yes..some in the big cities but…..not anywhere I work, or live. Go to NYC, LA, DC, SAN FRAN, Philadelphia, Chicago etc. Those are some of the worst and they are all democrat cities…LOL. I heard a guy say that and I have mostly voted Democrat but I must that evidence is correct.

In California there are a lot of homeless people, because the government of California gives them benefits. People from other states come to California because they get so many benefits. They get money for food, and physical money. A lot of them choose to be homeless, because they get so much, without having to do anything.

It is interesting how differences between countries can have both positive and negative impacts. For instance… it is great that you can shop on Sunday at 10 pm… but then again there are people who have to work and be away from their family at that time. It is great that there is an abundance of fast food … but it results in an industrialized quality to the food. Love hearing you talk about your experiences… which become normalized when you live here.❤❤

Give you an example of how Americans interact as compared to Europeans in general. I lived in Germany for five years and I had to have my VW camper van repaired after someone ran into the side door and did a lot of damage. When I went to pick it up and examined it, I said to the owner "Wow, it' looks beautiful, like it came right from the factory." In America the owner would say "thank you, I appreciate that, we try to do the best we can." Instead the owner said to me in a stern voice "what did you expect? I am a masterwerk mechanic." I will never forget that. Europeans really don't know how to accept a compliment or express gratitude in general.

Don't be scared. That's what our governments' want. It's how they control us. Fear and division. And don't worry about Coooovid. That was used to control and manipulate us. The truth and data is coming out. Some of us knew all along it was BS. Learn from it and don't let them manipulate us again. That's why so many western governments are getting more crazy. They know we are waking up and they are scared as they should be. They forgot they work for us, we're not their slaves.

Most problems in America like Europe are caused by or made worse by politics and there are certain cities and states with the biggest problems especially the most crime and homeless people and it's largely politics. These issues are politicized and used to launder huge sums of money to a select few and used for political propaganda. Same with wars. It's all about money power and control, but Americans and Europeans are waking up,

We have states bigger than European countries. Thus, going from state to state and especially region to region is like going country to country in Europe in terms of food, culture, accents, etc. But states like South Carolina have beaches, lakes, rivers, swamps and mountains. In NC/SC you can be on the beach or the mountains.

I’m glad you are seeing the beauty and even the ugliness in the USA. This is a big and beautiful country, and like any other country, there exists corruption and we fall short of what we attempt to attain. But while that is true, a key underlying truth about what creates the beauty in America is freedom. We are free to speak and worship and live as we choose. With that freedom though comes the reality that not everyone will exercise that freedom to attractive or good outcomes. You can’t control the outcome without taking away freedom. Unfortunately, our system means that you will generally see happy, content people. But the same freedom that allows that allows more outliers in wealth and poverty, good and evil. But we choose freedom.
