ОтветитьNice Bro! Been doing my thing since 1980
ОтветитьVery informative! OG talked a lot of facts. What DJ pool do you use?
ОтветитьThat was a great video man. The dj you interviewed provided a lot of great information that I will start implementing in my dj work flow… keep up the good work man… much love DJ Mo_e

ОтветитьThank your for sharing that convo. This was like a mini ted talk. One thing I took from that convo is to be ready for any genre of music. I had to learn not to lock myself in to one of two genres that I listen to. Another was keeping music on the laptop vs a hard drive. Another was to only keep the hit music and get rid of the random music that a minority of people would listen to.
I appreciate you, bro! Keep up the good work with staying consistent with content.
Love the interview bro!
ОтветитьHe is spot on.
Play the hits. Dont play for other djs. Play for the crowd.
another great video. your production quality is crazy. The thing I like the most are the scenes when you're driving through the city. It makes me miss Houston so much and I smile because I recognize all the places. Keep it up brotha. On the road to 5k
ОтветитьVERY IMPORTANT. May I suggest you look into a NAS drive for backups and have multiple HD backups. Keep backups in different locations. (Parents house, families house, friends house, bank safe deposit box...ect...) like he said you never know when a disaster will strike.
Ответитьvaluable info!!
Ответитьi never trust externals this veteran is a beast son
ОтветитьGreat advice I give the same to my younger DJS. I been behind the wheels about the same number of year. All the things he said was LAW!! Keep the turntables turning mane!!!
ОтветитьInteresting. Could be an ongoing series. Especially with the potential of video conferencing, the sky or the globe is the limit for who you could chop it up with. IJS
ОтветитьEverybody with a hard drive thinks they are a DJ 🎯
ОтветитьKaty, League City, and Barrett Station are all basically still Houston.
ОтветитьGreat interview I am also a mature DJ around the same time also what resonated with me was when performing play the good songs all the way through I used to do that when I was DJing in the taverns and dances especially when your audience like the song keep up the good work
ОтветитьDope video. Great content full of gems. And you made Htown look dope. He definitely gave you a lot of game I’m sure you’ll use to elevate your craft!!
ОтветитьI agree as a dj thats just getting back into it i was always told you dj for the ladies if the ladies are dancing the fellas will follow great content.
ОтветитьGreat interview and everything this DJ spoke about I have done and still do currently. I agree with him about DJs thinking that having a HD filled with music and a controller makes you a DJ. First and foremost I have to say that people plan their parties ass backwards because the average person will run out and pay $5K - 10K for a venue to eat some food but forget about the Entertainment namely the DJ. They realize that they need a DJ after they have spent all their money and come to you with a sad song saying this is all they can afford which most of the time is around $200-$300 dollars and when you tell them thats not enough they go get the neighbood DJ who only plays for himself or the hoodrats to do the party and normally they do a terrible job thus making it hard for us working DJs to keep our prices at a level where it is profitable to do events. I enjoyed the video and I hope that other DJs follow this advice because just like the DJ in the interview I have done some heavy hitter gigs and one heavy hitter I will mention is DJ Clarke Kent (RIP). He and one of my longtime friends (DJ Ser Scratch) grew up together in BK and he put me on which lead to me doing multiple events at his home and in the city of NY unsing the same recipie as the DJ in this interview.
ОтветитьHomie was spot on with his advice. A lot of people don’t know how to read the crowd .
Some people just play music just to play it 🤷🏽♂️
It all comes with experience tho
Real talk OG
