Mid-80s Classic.
ОтветитьKlassik Industrial >:P
ОтветитьChampagne, caviar, cigar and girls...Reflexion on modern way of life under Frank Tovey's point of view.
Ответитьabsolutlty cult band
ОтветитьThe part where he's like "diamonds and pearls" cracks me up for some reason. He's giving the flip side on what glamour really is (pretty vacuous).
ОтветитьGreat song! Great Band!
ОтветитьThis song rules ass.
ОтветитьDAS is vert gut. verty verty gud
Ответить
Ответитьbrilliant
Ответить...genau xD
Ответитьthis IS good..!
ОтветитьCOMEDY STREET!! :D Der Bonce mit seiner Tochter xD
ОтветитьFrank Tovey, rest in peace. You were one of a kind.
ОтветитьI love how he mocks the high class-lifestyle. Precisely what he -DIDN'T- want to be... a snob.
Ответить@destructorbeam: I'm not sure I understand... but, in a way, it's best that Frank's music remains unique. I wouldn't want some rapper to "mutilate" or commercialize a Fad Gadget song, like it's been done with a few other, 80's classics.
Ответитьwow tengo un amigo ke tiene 40 años me presento a esta banda kreo ke ahora kelo veo me influencio mucho jajajaja
Ответитьgreat song! should give to think to greedy people...
ОтветитьR.I.P Frank miss you!!!!
ОтветитьI'll co-sign that. Let me book the flight and drop it at the doorstep.
ОтветитьI've seen plenty of acts in my life. I grew up in that time how the hell did I miss him? Glad I could see him perform here because I absolutely just started to hear of him through my love for this genre.
ОтветитьFrank (aka Fad Gadget) was so istrumental in starting the synth-pop movement with him and Dan Miller discovering depeche mode in the early days of 81 as an opening act for Fad @ the Bridgehouse..
ОтветитьI fucked so many times to this song, lol.
ОтветитьLuxury
Diamonds and pearls
Champagne and caviar
Cigars and girls
A private plane, a shiny car
Gold, silver and ivory
To have the Midas touch
Would it be enough for me
Can a man ever have too much
Luxury
The things I want
The things I need
One is a hunger
One is greed
Fox furs and mink
Sugar, stocks and shares
Gourmet food and drink
Up a marble flight of stairs
Suntans and shades
A yacht anchored in Saint Tropez
Butler, cook, housemaids
Can no one ever turn away
Luxury
The things I want
The things I need
One is a hunger
One is greed - tap up luxury
Luxury
The things I want - talking 'bout the things you want
The things I need - don't you worry 'bout the things you need
One is a hunger - oh
One is greed - live your life in luxury
The things I want - talking 'bout the things you want
The things I need - don't you worry 'bout the things you need
One is a hunger - help me
One is greed - learn to lap up luxury
this is better than some of david bowies songs forgive me lord byron
ОтветитьWHy do you list this as Fad Gadget? Even the introduction of the video addresses it as being Frank Tovey.
Ответить❤❤❤
ОтветитьSurprising that Frank had the looks to go along with his talent. How he missed out on the MTV halcyon days is a real mystery. Frank would not have enjoyed it, but he would have truly blown up.
