Grand Prix 2 - With Wet Weather! - x86 GP2

This mod has been SOOOO fun, my biggest problem is that the backmarkers will never even make an attempt to get out the way in quali, and they've ruined a few laps for me in quali where im just going so much faster and then BAM i have to either send it down the inside and lose time or get send into the wall trying to dodge

Never liked Magny Cours always though it was the worst ever gp track . Just awfull.

The centre spring does not work with G29.
As soon as the game screen is on,the centre spring is turned off.

Just bought GP2 on EBay and set it up with this mod. It's awesome! ... except the FMV intro is missing. Is FMV playback still under development, or do I need to move some files around?

Unbelievable what is being achieved with this mod, very impressive. I never thought we’d see these capabilities from GP2 with someone pushing the limits further and further like they are here. Hatcher has basically created a GP 2.5 here! To still call it GP2 is a disservice 👏🏼

Could anybody suggest the best Nvidia graphics tweaks to play this amazing mod at 1920 by 1080 with the best possible graphics? It's phenomenal that it works so beautifully but my eyes start bleeding after 30 minutes! Or should I just run it in a lower resolution?

Congratulations to Hatcher to modernize this fantastic game. Never thought it would be possible one day. I imagine that compatible with all other mods. I tested that. The blue sky is very beautiful. I did some starts and it seems quite hard to start faster than the IA cars in wet conditions. What about you?

I can barely keep my car on the track in the dry in this game so I probably won't be doing much wet racing, but amazing feature and mind-blowing that things are being implemented that were never meant to be done in that 1996 game engine

I dream about a x86 version of GP1.
For me GP2 is very good. However, GP1 was the best.

It's funny how almost everybody hates racing on rain conditions, yet we all are excited for this!

OMFG I'm currently trying to make the old WetGP2 mod to work at home. It's useless now. Great reuse of the smoke system to generated spray. Congrats to Hatcher, his work is unvaluable !

Awesome update once again, I really wonder what is possible to add in to the game or if there are hard limits. I remember seeing Geoff Crammond interview that he also designed the game have even 40 drivers. That'd be interesting to see if that could be done. Is Hatcher posting progress in any social media channels or forums?

This is mad. I do remember that it was in the game till the last minute but removed at the last. I wondered if it was in the code somewhere.

Not watched the whole vid yet, but is the weather session dependent? F1GP had a pretty good for the time wet weather effect, get behind someone, you are not seeing anything at all which lines up with how it looked on broadcasts and the way drivers explained it at the time
EDIT: Oh, oh, that is amazing that it can work over different sessions!

A 100% race in Aida or Monaco with max rain would last more than 2 hours 😅

Wow. x86 GP2 just gets better and better. The spray effects are probably very realistic - in that you basically can't see a thing if you are following a car! Well done in the race, Rainmaster Bang! Hatcher is doing some amazing work.

My virus scanner (Panda) sees the latest version 0.5 of x86GP2 as a virus. Anybody else have this? It is constantly removed by Panda.
