Alpha Industries have just launched a range of mechanical watches for those on smaller budgets, and their first is a lemon dial Daytona homage. I bought one, and I love it, and I was really surprised by its quality and feel. The bracelet leaves a lot to be desired, but for less than £200, it's an absolute steal imho.

5-6 million isn't crazy. Nobody thought that the 63' 250 GTO would sell for 90 million, let alone anything over 3-5 million. Same for the 300 SLR that was sold at 142M. So you never know with these watches. They will certainly fetch those high 8 figures one day. A crazy millennial like me would spend that kind of money on these watches in the future for my personal collection and may as well park money while at it. Win win. Thing is, today's era of youths don't care for watches but do care for stuff like Supreme and retro shoes. People should look into investing in those until gen Z kids become millionaires willing to spend big money on collector items.

Subdials and outertrack doesn't look "lemon". "Lemon" finish is matte with a special surface that makes no reflection. Lemon doesn't have any goldish colour look to it. The lemon dials looks more like a very fine sandblasted surface. Maybe its the camera or some thing, but a lemon is matte. All the best.
