If there is a sound in the background that continues through the talents dialogue which approach would you take to clean it up? The noise gate and Expander cut it off when they're not talking. Would it be finding the specific frequency with an EQ and limiting it there?

you think its wise to use expander for vocals which then be compressed? - surely I would have to compress heavier to compansate for expansion which is fine, but wouldnt it have a negative effect on overall quality? - over compressed vocals

Thank you sir.. Can you do a detailed video on how to use iZotope noise reduction plugin..? I record in the night and I always hear crickets in my recordings. How to remove those noises? I used expander but it's not enough.
