Poetry in music
ОтветитьIf I recall right, in 1966 or so, this beautiful song was largely overshadowed by 'Homeward Bound'... but this is one of my ALL TIME favorites!!! Thanks for putting it on!
ОтветитьGreat stuff!!!! Thanks for posting!!
ОтветитьThe sun peeking through the curtains, sitting in a quiet room gathering thoughts, listening to this beautiful song so many years ago. Lyrical & Musical genius...hitting every emotion through this wonderful piece never gets old & remains timeless within my memory. This portion of music remains recorded for all time it has been about 47 yrs. ago that this song was recorded there abouts. Still wonderful & memorable... Live life, love often, & enjoy the music of your time. Thanx & peace 2 ya
ОтветитьI love this song and it only peaked around 25 in the top 40. This has one of Paul's best songs.
Ответитьengage in authentic conversation and be present
Ответитьsuch a lovely tune....
ОтветитьThere has been NOTHING written in the last 10 years that even approaches this!
Ответитьthis is real poetry. most songwriters nowadays have substituted shock value into their lyrics instead of exquisite imagery and language. you also find more songs nowadays with trashy lyrics that do not really count as poetry.
ОтветитьA lovely piece of poetry set to music and I for one wish there were more individuals as talented as these two men. They sang about important things in lives we can all share.
ОтветитьI love to read, and when I finish a great book I wish I could read it again with the same surprises. The verse in this song stating, "And you read your Emily Dickinson, and I my Robert Frost, and we mark are place with book markers that measure what we lost", always brings chills to my brain knowing this is a great truth. What a special two writers / singers with the ability to see life realistically!
ОтветитьDe los mejores dúos que ha habido. Gracias
Ответитьoh my - and didn't we all say we were NOT going to have a marriage like THAT..
ОтветитьDid I forget to add how magnificent and beatiful were the minds of these 20-something song-writers at the time? It was absolutely incredibl, now that I can look back and compare.
ОтветитьModern so-called 'songwriters' could learn so much from Paul Simon.
Ответитьyup. their best. and that is saying a lot.
ОтветитьA brilliant way to describe the uncoupling of two people who have fallen out of love
Ответитьagree
ОтветитьBetter than anything written nowadays true music right here.
Ответить"Paul was the lyricist" - Art résout les équations et les problèmes de probabilité -
ОтветитьBrings me right back to September 1966... heck, I was only 15...learning that Bass Guitar...I still have it...amazing...
ОтветитьIt’s hard to express how much I love this song and I cannot count the times I’ve listen to it through the years 🦋
ОтветитьSpeed too fast. Sounds like 35 RPM or something, making it a higher pitch. Too bad.
ОтветитьIch liebe SIMON und GARFUNKEL🥀, 🎸🎶 was für große KÖNNER DANKE😘💕
ОтветитьA truly great song. Paul Simon is one of the most talented songwriters of his generation - a generation that includes Bob Dylan and John Lennon!
Ответить❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
