Hi Jana and Brett, I love your videos which are so informative. I have always wanted to visit Switzerland and am planning to do so next Summer with my husband and 26 year old son. Would you have any tips or alternative suggestions for someone who is terrified of heights. Unfortunately the fear is debilitating. I will be travelling by boat from Ireland and trains across France to Switzerland via Strasbourg.
ОтветитьWe made it here ⛰️🇨🇭 currently staying in Interlaken for 4 days then heading to Grindelwald. I got your itineraries and can’t wait..Thank you both!🙏🏽 more power to you guys!
ОтветитьGreat info’s!!! Question: I purchased Swiss flex travel~ do I activate it the day I arrived and it’s automatically free transportation on trains or I have to book it?
ОтветитьHa ha too late, I have 4 nights in Zurich, 5 in Bern and the last night in the airport. I'm doing day trips Jungfrau, Zermat and Lake Geneva. Next time...
ОтветитьThank-you for your wonderful videos!
I am wanting to go on the Bernina Express and you have mentioned that you can buy a the "Half Fare Card" then add the "Seat Reservation Fee" and the "Day Pass" in place of buying a Swiss Travel Pass. However I can't find the "Day Pass" on the website. Could you please help me find it? Is it still available?
Gained some good tips, but felt it was for those that don’t enjoy planning. Therefore it’s more of an ad to purchase a pre planned itinerary.
ОтветитьOh guys, how beautifully you have explained the things... i am going to buy now.. Wish you more power and success!!!
ОтветитьSwiss man when he was in srilanka he could not find any hotel stay. Because all hotels are full my cousin met him by accidentally on the street .& told him come & stay with us
Stayed with us so long . My aunt say always don’t charge anything to him
Wow, absolutely loving your all's vids! Very helpful and informative. One of the best collection of vids I've seen on Switzerland - and - I've been through A LOT of them! One thing I haven't heard or read much about, and it's something that concerns us, is altitude sickness. We visited Pikes Peak (just over 14k ft) and experienced trouble because of the altitude. With the elevations in Switzerland, do you think we'll have a problem or have others you've traveled with experienced problems? Thanks in advance and look forward to watching more of your channel!
ОтветитьWhat would you recommend for a solo trip for non skier
ОтветитьMy wife and I love your videos. Thank you thank you so much. You showed the swiss Alps and made me cry because it was so beautiful. We want to visit the Swiss Alps and other places in Switzerland. Can you be our tour guide?
ОтветитьCan you guys just get to the point without preaching, chatting too much about this and that? Just straight to the point and save viewer's time. Too much bragging about unnecessary talks.
ОтветитьThis is an awesome video!! Thank you so much
ОтветитьI'm from Ticino (Italian part of Switzerland) and I have to admit it "hurt" a bit not hearing you mentioning the vastity of contrasts and cultures and languages in Switzerland... I understand your points, but I believe that what characterise Switzerland is not only mountains and lakes but also and especially the varius languages, and different food and cultural differences in such a small place! I think you can't have a full idea of what Switzerland is if you don't visit at least one city per different language canton.... I mean, I think it would be a memorable trip if you also add to the equation the fact you were in such a small place and heard so many different languages and tried so many different food and felt so many different cultural approaches... essentially... why not mentioning Ticino too? We are always forgotten and I believe it is a truly wonderful and different part of Switzerland 😊 Ps: I don't live there anymore, and I'm not really patriotic, I like travelling and cultures and from outside that's what I can see now... you have the italian influence in there (good food, good prices... different architecture) and it is definitely way cheaper than the rest of Switzerland! If you plan to go to Italy next... pass by Lugano, my small city! ❤
Ps: IMPORTANT thing you didnt say... if you plan to drive in Switzerland you have to PAY it is NOT FREE and if you don't buy a "bollino" (I dont know it in English) you'll get a very high fine!
Do NOT waste time watching this video!!! It is advertisement for selling guides and not real and useful tips for Swiss travel.
ОтветитьHow do I get your done for you guide? WE ARE PLANNING A VISIT IN APRIL 24! PLEASE SEND SOME MORE INFO.
ОтветитьLearn some of the local languages before comming to Switzerland. The Swiss hate persons that do not speak our languages and expect us to speek Englisch or other strange lanuages, 😮
ОтветитьIf we follow your 10-15 day guide what would be a good ballpark price to expect to pay during the trip? I realize things will fluctuate greatly, just need a figure to concentrate on saving to achieve that goal. Your video was very informative. Thank you.
Ответитьthis was a horrible video. just a plug to sell their guide.
ОтветитьLost me at "It's better for the environment"
ОтветитьHello
I'm planning to visit Switzerland
Which pass do you recommend for jangfrau region for 2 people for 1 week.
Help me please
Wow, again another video that doesn't include Ticino. You might just like the popular places BUT Ticino is an incredible place to visit and enjoy the warmer weather, plus it's a more slower pace environment. 👍
ОтветитьWhats the best or ideal Train ticket for this leg Munich>>(1 Transfer) Zuich>>Interlaken (5 days)>>Zurich airport?
ОтветитьSome great advice here :) if your guides are anything like your videos, then they will be excellent and full of advice!
ОтветитьThanks for the informative tips I'll definitely be looking at your plans! 🎉
ОтветитьAny advice on doing a camper van rental?? 😊
ОтветитьPlanning a trip to Switzerland this October and you have NO idea how helpful this and your other videos have been! THANK YOU!
ОтветитьHello! You two have been such a tremendous help in my planning for our families giant celebration trip! Thank you!! I want to buy the seven day guide to the Jungfrau region, however we did have a minimum one week stay at the vacation rental we rented in Mürren. With this being our home-base the entire time, will the one week travel guide still be applicable? My husband and I get to stay an additional five days on the back-end. We love the outdoors and would love a much more authentic experience, than city experience. Would you recommend Zermatt or Grindelwald for those last five days? Again, thanks so much for making all aspects of our trip make so much more sense!
Ответить👍💯💕
ОтветитьThanks for the video - going to Switzerland for 9 days and was wondering if I should buy a train pass or car. Currently leaning towards car - thanks!
Ответитьgood business idea....although everything on chatgpt and more..
ОтветитьDo you guys have any videos for visiting Switzerland in the winter? Would you recommend these locations for both summer and winter? It seems like your recommendations are more during the summer, based on your photos/discussion.
ОтветитьWinter imo ! It is the best season to visit the Alps !
ОтветитьI want to say a HUGE thank you for your invaluable tips, advice and INCREDIBLY thought-out videos that informed our entire trip to Switzerland, which was truly the best experience! Throughout our whole time there, I found myself saying over and over "Well Jana and Brett said...." and it quickly became the saying of the trip since I planned our full itinerary and must-do's/don't's off of all your amazing insight. I've now sent that same itinerary to a friend who is going for her honeymoon and she said it felt like a wedding gift to receive a perfectly planned trip, which I told her I fully credit you both for! Thank you for your generosity of information, doing the Lord's work and clearly having fun while doing it! We can't wait to go back and to continue seeing all of your heartfelt content :)
ОтветитьAmazing video!!! Thank you so much!!! 🎉🎉🎉
ОтветитьWonderful
ОтветитьWith all these tips, I plan not to have a vacation from my vacation.😂
I'd rather take a vacation again in Switzerland.
While we (wife, who does not hike, and 14 yo daughter ) are looking to spend a week in Italy in Jun25, I thought we may extend it a few days to travel from Venice to Switzerland via the Bernina Express from Torino. I plan to fly out of Zurich. Is your 7 day plan the best for me to pick & choose? I want my daughter to have a taste of Switzerland. I spent two days in Switzerland/ Austria 25 years ago and the mountains are still a highlight of a 17 day student trip. I hope for us to see Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald and get to the top of a couple mountains… all about the mountains! I’ve watched many of your videos, which are well done, friendly and informative. With a likely stay of 3 days in Switzerland & taking Bernina Express, I plan to get the Day pass for each day, the 1/2 Swiss pass and the Family Swiss Pass (14 y/o rides free).
ОтветитьMy husband and I did a 12 day trip including 7 days in the Jungfrau regionin Mid-September 2024. Your one week guide was invaluable helping us with our research. Although we did not follow your itineraries by the letter, it was easy to put together our day'c activities but choosing our own "packages" from your suggestions. Unfortunately, because of 4" of snow we did not do as much hiking as we wanted to because of snow and mud conditions. Thank you for your videos and resources.
ОтветитьNice infomercial.
ОтветитьI bought your 7 day guide earlier this morning and just wanted to come here and say that I'm amazed at the level of detail you both have put into it. It was WELL worth the money. My wife and I are celebrating our 25th anniversary in July and we will be visiting Switzerland for the first time. This takes a lot of the anxiety out of planning such a large trip. Thank you again.
ОтветитьYour videos have been excellent and i have also bought one of your guides. Only thing that would've been super helpful for me would be the inclusion of which places are pet friendly as we are traveling with 2 dogs and from groups I'm in I know many people also visit with their furry family members
ОтветитьFlying in to Switzerland in late Feb with my son! We have a 9 full day trip. So excited! 3 days in Zurich and the rest of the time in Wilderswil! Definitely taking all of this advice.
Ответитьthank you, thank you, thank you!! a typical Rick Steves devotee, I knew I needed a little more fine tuning on the details that can trip me up like hours, days open and seasons available, and insider scoop. I made a wonderful investment and purchased your Swiss Transportation guide. So helpful!! Especially since I'm planning for our family of seven. BUT some Questions I have that I cant get a clear answer for is 1. what activities and closures there may be for Easter and 2. what church y'all would recommend for Easter Sunday? Any help here would be dearly appreciated! thank you and God bless y'all and your new precious little one!
ОтветитьLast year I started a journey of solo travelling and made it to 8 countries, but my word, planning for Switzerland has me feeling overwhelmed. Between the rail pass options, and number of villages and trails I'd like to hit, it's daunting, but you two have been amazing and have quickly become one of my favourite all time content creators for travel planning. If you guys don't hear it enough, this Canadian solo travel thanks you and if I run into you in May of this year, I owe you a beer!
ОтветитьHi We are planning for our Swiss trip and would need some accommodation suggestions near Lucerne area on budget. appreciate your help
Ответитьbeing roundabout 20 times to Switzerland, I agree with all objectives and most destinations but driving rental cars (the railway system is very good, renting is much more expensive). Luzern (Lucerne) is truly nice but if you have the chance: please visit Bern (national capital city, it is very nice and a UNESCO world heritage site).
ОтветитьHello Jana & Brett,
I must say your content is ... 100% Authentic - 100% Honest - 100% Genuine and 100% TO BE FOLLOWED by anyone planning to visit Switzerland.
Thank you very much for all your hard work ..

Can you please suggest a 21 day trip to switzerland
