A thermometer absorbs heat and reacts to that change. So, when we talk about "color temperature", it is incorrect to think of it like, "Well Red is 20C but in the same room Blue will only be 16C". Instead, think of it like "The thermometer will reach 20C faster with Red than it will with Blue".

The speed at which the energy is flowing into the thermometer is what gives us "color". That's why some galaxies and fast objects are "red shifted" or "blue shifted". Light with longer wavelengths (more energy) gets separated (think "left behind") from the shorter blue light over great distances as the observed object is moving away.

"Blue shifting" is the opposite--where an approaching object is by its very motion increasing pressure that reduces energy, basically compressing the wave lengths so that they shift toward a bluer hue.

Newton gets undue credit for everything. He probably was first to publish in a journal that white light is composed of colors. White light had been around for ever and ever before. And that there was no smart person born before Newton to pass light through a piece of glass and see colors that looked like the rainbow, is a little much. So no Newton was not the first person to understand that white light is composed of different colors. What Herchel discovered was definitely novel. You can safely say that nobody before him would have stuck thermometers in light.

So if black is made out of blue and green, should actualy black people not have the ability to give birth to blue and green childs as well ? I have seen all kind of people so far, white, red, yellow, black, brown, but i never have seen any green or blue ones. How is that possible ? I mean since Avatar, e all know blue painted Girls look amazing, right ? But whats about the green ones ??

What we call "white light" is invisible energy that the human brain turns into the experience of white. Color only exists as an experience. Invisible energy exists out in the world.
