Deflation, toxic assets, maxed infrastrature spending, high unemployment and vague policies like today. Building life boats on a sinking ship isnt the way to grow an economy. 😅

The additional Saturday working day is to balance out the Long Holiday days granted over Golden Week. They let staff have a longer uninterrupted break. So that people can travel to far away villages and return. And they can work the compensatory day on the Saturday. It would be similar to The West where the Xmas to New Years break has work days in the middle. But they say, just go on your trip, and make up a day wheen back

True, with the 996 work culture, sometimes we still dread working from home on Sundays. We have to keep ourselves busy to secure our jobs, especially as so many companies are cutting costs and increasing efficiency. They’ve laid off many people to save money, which might benefit the company but certainly isn't good for employees
