His apologising to Fred and Janet being expanded is one of the brilliant things of this version. Dickens only ended the scene with Fred inviting him and that was it, but the script was really wholesome for this adaptation.
ОтветитьOne of the very best versions of this classic. George C. Scott and David Warner are excellent, as is the actor who plays the Ghost of Christmas Present.
ОтветитьAlastair Sim, Patrick Stewart and George C. Scott played Scrooge as he was written.
ОтветитьOne of my favorite movies during christmas.
ОтветитьWhere's the next part!?
ОтветитьI've always wondered what happened to the turkey or goose the Cratchits bought? Did they not already have one! Did they eat both)
ОтветитьMagnificent performance from a magnificent actor. George C Scott is one of my favorites.
ОтветитьThe best runner-up, imo, to the Alistair Sim version.
ОтветитьScrooge’s character was not an evil sociopath with no love but a man who was terrified of love (the death of sister he never got over) and ran away from it into the hard headed world of money.
ОтветитьThe most amazing thing about this film is seeing David Warner play a good guy, lol.
Ответить👍👌👏 I swear that someone was peeling onions right behind me.
ОтветитьMy absolute favorite Scrooge that I watch each and every year
ОтветитьGeorge C Scott is the best Ebenezer Scrooge!
ОтветитьI've watch Several Versions of A Christmas Carol I would Say I like the 1951 Version with (Alaster Cook) would be Ranked as 1 then this 1984 Version with (George C. Scott) at 2 the 1972 Musical Version with (Albert Finney) at Number 3 and the 2004 Musical Version with (Kelsey Grammer) at Number 4 the 1935 Version is a Bit to Old to Look at because the Quality of the Film was Lost do to Age and there not Saving it and Restoring it in Time even though they still Show it Year after Year the Animated Versions are well Animated None are better than the Others IMO.
ОтветитьBest movie ever
Ответить“If this be a prank boy I’ll box your ears!” I don’t know what that means but it sounds painful.
ОтветитьThis movie makes me cry like…every time regardless of the time of year.
ОтветитьGreat movie 🎥 What are the true mean of what Christmas should be standing up for people cannot stand up for themselves when you were the antagonist
ОтветитьI love all the Scrooges except that dark one from 2019
Ответитьআমরা খালি হতে এসেছি, খালি হাতেই যাবো, means all we born with empty hands, so we dead। So why we quarlling and fighing
ОтветитьDavid Warner....omitted from the 2023 Oscars In Memoriam segment. Boo Hollywood. 👎
ОтветитьI absolutely love G.C.Scott as Scrooge!! Love this adaptation 🎄🎄🌹
ОтветитьScott’s portrayal of Scrooge is second only to Alastair Sim’s great portrayal of London’s famous fictional miser; in my opinion.
ОтветитьSo not the final scene then?
Ответить🥹I PRAY 🙏 CHRISTMAS COMES THIS SEPTEMBER OR SOONER!! 🌲
ОтветитьThis is my favorite version of the Christmas classic!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
There are many great renditions of this classic tale, but this is by far my favorite. Absolutely excellent in every way.
ОтветитьI remember watching the original as a kid. It always brought me joy
ОтветитьNever to early for Christmas!! Especially to blot out the evildoers of Halloween. 😄
ОтветитьHumbug lol
ОтветитьWhy do you suppose Ebenezer didn't want the Cratchets to know who bought them that turkey ? 🤨
ОтветитьBest movie of my life .
ОтветитьI grew up watching David Warner and his characters. At times he scared me in his character but in this movie I was sympathetic to his ability to be so human. RIP in Peace David Warner.
ОтветитьScot
ОтветитьThis is the ultimate scene of the movie
ОтветитьGeorge C. Scott was a phenomenal actor...he was wonderful as Scrooge. One of the BEST versions.
ОтветитьMaybe if this guy didn't have 6 freakin kids, he wouldn't be so damn poor
ОтветитьMy very favourite version. 😊❤
ОтветитьActually, this was the next to final scene. The story ended with Scrooge declaring he'll raise Bob's salary, help Tiny Tim become well again, and eventually find a position for Peter Cratchit in his firm......but first, he and Cratchit will celebrate Christmas Day over "a bowl of smoking bishop" {hot wine, floating orange and lemon slices, and assorted spices}. The narrator wraps up the story by describing Scrooge's bright future [and Tiny Tim's]- and, as Tim has observed........"God bless us all- EVERYONE."
ОтветитьAbsolutely the greatest version - George C Scott is the GOAT
ОтветитьGod forgive me for the time I’ve wasted. That really hits harder as you age. Just try to remember. You don’t have unlimited time. When they’re gone, they’re not there anymore.
ОтветитьA Christmas Carol has always been one of my favourite movies. My mom gave me this version of it on vhs one year for Christmas. I miss her ❤🙏
ОтветитьI bet scrooge poisoned the food
ОтветитьA good book, ok film: careful to never ever write the word JESUS even once into the original book. Another cunning work by old Freemasonry to use the birth of Jesus to gain monetary wealth......Hum-bug term became two words meaning Hypocrite !
And the ancient Greeks gave English the word from what 'actors' Thespians were called way back then "HYPOCRITES"
Cha Ching Ho Ho Ho
Oh I love the part with Fred, but they cut off my favorite line in the interchange with Bob Cratchit!
ОтветитьHow did they even get a turkey that big in the oven? They'd be eating the leftovers for a week XD
ОтветитьI carry Charles Dickens, “A Christmas Carol” in my heart the whole year around. 📯
