Mine Energy Solutions - Hybrid Mining Truck

After completing 6200 hours at New Acland trialling the new truck, the Hybrid Mining Truck proved that natural gas in a dual fuel system is a viable substitute to 100% diesel for high horsepowered diesel engines.

This breakthrough technology overcomes the weight and space issues previously limiting technology using compressed natural gas and liquefied natural gas.

The revolutionary technology has a number of environmental, safety and financial benefits, including:
- A 25-30% reduction in fuel costs
- More thank 30% reduction in greenhouses gasses
- More than 80% reduction in diesel particulate emissions
- Capability to operate for a full 12 hour shift without refuelling
- Used globally, this system could remove 21 million tonnes of green house gas emissions per annum.
