Hi what about the RV lot you bought in Florida? What happens to it?
ОтветитьThe joy and wonder definitely have to our do the negatives. Presently cruising the Caribbean on a sloop for three years and every few weeks change countries. Amazing lifestyle!
ОтветитьOk cool. It's just me, I'm pretty much a low key 37 yr old guy. I have one child my son. I'm sure he'll love if I get one. I like the Rv with the bunk beds. Not sure where I would put it though🤔
ОтветитьAnyone thinking they can live a house style life in an rv or travel trailer will be disappointed. I have been a truck driver for many years now and can honestly say that a travel trailer feels huge and spacious to me.
ОтветитьI'm retired but my wife is not quite there yet. So, our plan is to get a travel trailer (or motor home) and travel part-time but keep our house here in AZ. That way we can travel around and find an area where we would like to move too. Camping, or RVing, will give us the opportunity to try before we buy or find out that we just simply want to stay in AZ. It gives us options. But, full-time RV'ing will not be in our future. But having a home base, or "sticks-n-bricks" as many put it, is something that we will always have.
ОтветитьYou don't have a permanent address it becomes very difficult to get a bank to open a checking or savings account.
ОтветитьGreat channel!
ОтветитьSo you guys weren't built for true off grid living is what this video is saying. These are YOUR personal preferences. Some of us can deal with any of this. In fact, I feel like I just listened to a couple of snowflakes ❄️ 💯
ОтветитьNo full time for us. Our Children and grandchildren all live in the same city with us. After a few weeks we get home sick for our Grandchildren. So a few weeks at a time is enough for us.
ОтветитьMy wife and I traded our tag along camper for a truck camper, we got tired of just going to a campground. Now we can go off grid/boondocking. We spend 90% of our time outside so we didn't need anything big, just a place to lay our head at night and get out of the rain if needed.
So to hear it's not working out for you guys. Stay safe
You missing a frying pan?
ОтветитьAfter my son's time in the Hopkin's ICU, I have come to realize., you should always live within a half hour of a major medical center. We have one if the top 3 in the world.
ОтветитьAlthough fun to fantasize about. Full-time RVing would be a mistake for us.
#1 would be access to medical care.
#2 Our paid-for home and land are not just security for my wife and me. But my entire family also.
No matter what happens we have a place to go.
Our view of RVing is the freedom to visit and see the country at our own pace.
It’s a fall day…loose the shades.
ОтветитьWhat's funny is I recognized the clip of the Beachcomber Campground in S. Jersey..camped there 15 years ago with our 42' Monaco Signature.
Ответитьnumber one it’s nearly impossible to be a prepped when food will become too expensive or scarce, right now that is a huge issue
ОтветитьSo you were never really rvers
ОтветитьHi there !
My wife an I were full time RV’ers for almost 2 years and decided to settle down a buy a house again.
For us there were several reasons:
1) the feeling of not belonging anywhere. We like to have friends and hang out with them.
2) Cost was higher than expected and you don’t save up living RV life.
3) Too crowded at campgrounds.
4) what we really like about camping is the weekend getaways to small state parks etc.
5) Always concerns about finding a place to stay because campgrounds are so booked.
I can agree with most of what you say. But you have the wrong idea with medical needs. Most everyone, when speaking of medical needs, are talking about the AMA medical group and all connected medical partners agencies. We Americans have been trained like sheep. We do what we are told and go where we are told. That is wrong.
The AMA and associates are only interest6ed in making the most money off of you as they can during your life - however long or short it will be. If you pay attention the AMA truly cures hardly anyone. In their mind a cured patient is lost income.
I have done casual but dedicated medical research for 48 years. Instead of going to the doctor for every simple thing, do your own research. I know that sounds daunting. But it takes very little time to know more than your doctor on any one subject.
I once found a small growth on my lower arm. Nothing I tried off the counter affected it. So I did some research. I found it was one of two similar types of growths. One being a cancer. So I went to the hospital to have it looked at. The seasoned doctor said he didn't know what it was, he had never seen anything like it. He offered to cut it out. I agreed. That very simple surgery cost me $3,000! How come he didn't know what I knew?
I had other growths on my face and arms, but the doctor said nothing about them. I wasn't about to pay $3,000 for each one! So I did more research. I found a Native American salve, said to remove all growths, including cancer. I got some. It cost $33 for 20g. It is a one time application. You use an amount the size a matchhead, and keep it covered and moist. In ten to twelve days the growth is gone. No pain, no stitches, and usually no scar.
Over time I removed 16 growths from my arms and face using the Native American salve. Compared to $3,000 per - I saved myself $48,000! And four of them were the same type cancer the doctor removed via the simple surgery.
That proves you can save money by doing your own research.
Remember I said I have been doing research for 48 years. I have cured myself of high blood pressure, arthritis, and a gallbladder/liver problem, besides the skin cancer.
I'm not keeping things to myself. I tell everyone I know who I hear have cancer. But I can tell you, so far I have found all cancer patients have been brainwashed by their doctors They refuse to listen to there being a simple cure for all cancers, with no danger of dying.
Let me underline that for you. Doctors not connected with the AMA clearly say all cancers can be cured in between 2 weeks and 16 weeks, in other words 4 months.
They also say, all cancers can be cured without surgery, radiation, or chemo.
Anybody who denies that is lying through their teeth.
I find the same with most all common illnesses. The AMA prescribes expensive treatments that are aimed at getting money from the patient. When most common ailments can be cured in a shorter time, and at a much lower cost.
Once online I found my old Army buddy. He and his wife live in Montana. But they haven't been doing too well. My buddy has congestive heart failure, and his wife had had arthritis for 32 years, and had been a wheel chair for 12 of those.
I didn't know what other ailments they had. But I began sending them the needed info.
I flat told my buddy how to cure his CHF. But he refused to listen to his old buddy. That is the AMA brainwashing showing through. He could cure himself if he'd just try!
I continued to send medical tips. After a long while I got a nice letter from my buddy's wife. She thanked me for sending all the info. She said she read it all. She said she decided to do something to improve her situation. She was proud to tell me she had cured herself of Type II Diabetes, and she was now off of the painkillers her doctor had been giving her for the arthritis.
Now think about that. She was under a doctor's care for 32 years. She then cured HERSELF of two major ailments. Stop and think - what was that doctor being paid for, over those 32 years? SHE CURED HERSELF!
I came up with a motto we all need to follow - "Your Doctor is not responsible for your health. You are!"
Can you understand? Staying healthy isn't expensive. But seeing a doctor is - and the doctor's only interest is making as much money has he can before you die.
I remind you again - The doctor charged me $3,000 to remove one growth that did turn out to be the cancer. But no further treatment was needed. I removed 16 more growths with the Native American salve, for a total cost of $33! And four of those were the same type cancer as the one the doctor removed with surgery.
Here is one more health tip. All joint problems can be cured without surgery or replacement. The fad today is, if you have a bad knee, have both knees replaced! Now who do you suppose that is supposed to help? I can tell you, anyone who has one knee replaced will have more pain than he/she ever dreamed of. And if you allow them both to be done at the same time, you will have twice the pain, and only one knee was bad.
THINK! Before you agree to anything your doctor suggests!
No one, I said NO ONE should ever let a doctor put them on the dangerous blood pressure drugs. The same doctor who did the minor surgery on me, told me I had extremely high blood pressure, and I needed to get on BP meds right away. I told him I refused. He then warned me of the dangers, a heart attack or stroke that might leave me unable to move or even speak.
I told him, if he was to treat me, I wanted the cure. You should have seen the look on his face. He sadly said he knew of no cure for high blood pressure. I lat told him, that was why I wouldn't let him treat me. I did more research and did find the true cure for high BP.
Don't assume the doctor knows more than you do. He only knows what he has been taught. You know you body better than the doctor does. Do your own research. It doesn't cost anything, compared to what the doctor charges for him to do the research. And when you do it, do not use any references written by the AMA of an AMA doctor. Remember, you want the truth.
It comes down to how much you want it. If you REALLY want it, you get past your 8 reasons, you figure it out. Its just a matter of how much you want it and the sacrifices you want to make to live the way you want to live. You chose not to, you chose the safe, average life most people follow. To each their own.
ОтветитьQuestion to OP and viewers about having problems with finding RV spots... had you ever tried Harvest Host or similar programs? I realize it's not a full-hookup type arrangement, but it seems like these people that are offering their space on Harvest Host are filling a need. Do you see it as a positive development that helps the 3/4 timers? Or is it only beneficial to the occasional campers?
ОтветитьI have been Rving for over 10 yrs. 10 years ago RV parks we're affordable now it is out of reach for most people and most senior citizens can not afford it with there social security. Just like in Florida used to be $600.00 to $800 a month now they want $3,000 to $4,000 a month to stay in RV park. I am calling it quits to.
ОтветитьAwesome content. Thank you.
ОтветитьThis is not going to be a popular comment but personally I think that RVing, especially full time, is nothing more than a series of disasters just waiting to happen.
It's probably something that most people will realize, when it is too late that it was a big fantasy to travel but the hardships and suffering is no way near the reward.
But people love fantasies so many will fall for the trap!
Funny, we were selling and going full time at the start of the year. Quite honestly, it costs the same to keep the house as it does to store what little we planned on keeping for our exit strategy. Plus, we are definitely not fans of the current political climate, we don't trust them at all. I guess the safe landing space works for now. If we find a different property where we can land on in the future, we'll reevaluate that later.
Ответить"Endless" ended fairly quickly.
ОтветитьWe are moving back to America after almost 30 years in the United Kingdom. During this time America has changed so much it’s hard for us to decide where we will call home. Our thoughts are somewhere in New England and not too cold like Maine or Vermont.
Do we buy our RV first or do we buy our property? This is driving us round the bend as we just can’t decide. We are watching the market for signs of the recession and in some areas house prices are falling up to 50% as both values and rentals are falling due to the unprecedented amount of property being on the market. Large investment companies are literally dumping their portfolios and taking any loss just to be out of the market and this has a roll on effect for the average price of property. I’m told that this could go on for up to 4-5 years. Obviously we would like to take advantage of the cheaper prices. It’s also happening in the RV industry and apparently it’s going to get a lot worse than current prices. This is a real dilemma for us to consider.
Any solid ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. The only other possibility is that we buy an RV Park and have both our home and RV based at the same location and take regular vacations.
I have cancer but I’m not going to allow this to stop our lives as I still have a lot of things that I want to do whilst I’m on this planet. I’m medically insured anywhere in the world which is great as far as I’m concerned 😎🇬🇧🇺🇸💫
Great Video! I think the biggest reason for many is cost. Getting into a nice RV is more expensive than getting into a nice house in certain areas. Does not make sense to me. A class A RV brand new should have a max price of like $60k. They should not cost over that. My 3 bedroom, 2 bath brick house with basement, total aprox 2,000 sq ft on one acre in a nice community was $100k. An Rv should not be more.
ОтветитьWe were full timers for three years 2009 - 2012 and loved it apart from the breakdowns . Gave up due to health reasons . Now like you we have a nice property with elbow room . No visible people. But have to go back to RVing , long distance but part of the time . New Renegade Verona LE 40 on order . Wish us luck.
ОтветитьYeah homelessness ain't easy..
ОтветитьOne problem is the month is getting over priced every thing rv related.
ОтветитьSounds like you guys have lost that loving feel time to give it up. 😢
ОтветитьRent is getting so expensive and I thought buying an rv would be better cheaper and we'd at least own something..but maybe this isn't the most affordable option.
ОтветитьMost insurance will pay your hotel or Airbnb (even for dogs) and food until you are back in your RV or get a new one up to 30 days or an agreed limit.
ОтветитьI lost my wife in January. An R.N of 22 years . We both have bad health and I'm disabled renting a room from a church on very limited income. I'll be forced to live in my vehicle ( which needs work) very shortly with my dog.. I have no choice..... I'm just trying to stay alive.... Enjoy each moment with each other like it's your last.....I'm so Greatful I did.... I just don't know what to do now.....God Bless
ОтветитьInteresting points. Being Canadian medical costs are not much of a concern as we take care of each other more here when it comes to that and I have never had a medical bill in spite of a few operations. What would worry me is selling the house and not being able to afford how much it would cost in 10 or 15 years if i wanted to move back into a stationary home. My camper is big enough to live in but the price of diesel in Canada is just stupid based on the current price of oil and I can see it only getting worse as they try to drive us away from anything that burns fuel. Repair costs on the road or breakdowns can also be quite expensive and it can be hard to find a good mechanic who can work on a large coach. I think it would be fun to travel a lot but for now nothing is quite like home.
ОтветитьSo you guys aren’t really “full time” rv’ers because you have a house also. I would say that you are part-time rv’ers.
Unless you paid cash for your home it will never be worth more than you’ve paid for it. Just multiply your payments by the amount of months you paid.
Been considering full time. Been caring for elderly M-I-L and she has recently passed. More loose ends to tie up. I'm hoping we can catch someone wanting out and saving $$$ and boondocking as a normal mode of operating. Your vid is food for thought.
ОтветитьWe just went full time a few months ago so we can explain our business into another market. We’re fortunate to have a friend on one side of the state with property and a budget that allows us to save money when we don’t have to stay at parks. Most of the things you mentioned are not issues for us because of how were living and the places were staying. I will say that we can relate to being out of your RV. We’re 2 months full time and we’re finally getting into the shop for a stress crack on our 5th wheel. As of right now we are out of our RV for at least 30 days staying with a friend. We miss our home already and its only been 2 days.
At some point in the next few years (2-5) we’re going to buy property and build full time is not a forever thing for us but its serving its purpose for now.
Just trying to find a spot to hookup sounds like the biggest headache, god even for a week trip! Seriously I will book an airbnb and I won’t have to touch a gross sewer hose!
ОтветитьMy wife and I are truck drivers. We are almost done paying off an 84 28 ft motorhome. At 62 and in good health I plan to retire in a few more years. We don't have a house. We live in our semi. We plan to boondock to save money when the time comes. With the cost of rent, mortgage, property taxes, utilities, electricity etc. we feel it's the best choice. We have backup. A place to stay. We can go anywhere at anytime. I hope we're making the right decision. We can also visit our relatives around the country. Maybe moochdock for a few days. It's all about survivability. We see rvs in people yards all over the country. The economy will hopefully get better. Definitely some points to ponder though. It should work out for us.
ОтветитьSo I have been considering getting an rv and earlier this week I went around town to look at the camp sites and what rv's people were using. I live in a vacation town that doubles its population each summer from temporary residents. I was struck by how tightly packed the "camp" grounds were and how much they resembled trailer parks. It honestly made me think boondocking would be the only way to have a good time with an rv because being packed in like sardines kind of defeats the purpose of the rv life from where I am sitting.
ОтветитьVery valid points! My hubby & I chose ro to full-time RV travel in our retirement - we left a bad state to retire in (we would have been on welfare within 1 yr) so we sold out & hit the road in 2011. We ended up on the road for 11 1/2 yrs and enjoyed the lifestyle (new friends, places & experiences ) but we were getting older & maintenance on the rig was more than our rig was worth. We stopped for a week in Paducah KY and never left! That was 2022 & we still love where we settled. We still travel (hotel method) around and can come back to home!
ОтветитьBye!!!!!🤣🤣😜
ОтветитьThe cheapest way to live is to buy cheap land, and build a tiny home on top of it. That really is the easiest
