You have to wonder why the North Korean military thought it was a good idea to launch the ship in such a shallow bay to begin with aside from how they launched it, shows just how incompetent they are.

If NK had the dry dock facilities necessary to be able to repair the ship, then they wouldn't have needed to do such a risky launch in the first place, because the ship would hav been built there. Given the damage to the hull, water leaking into sensitive electronics, and lack of effective repair options, I'd wager the new ship is already scrap metal, it just doesn't know it yet.
