it's still magic to me why, why, why, whyyyy default version compares on [[toString]] call instead of [[valueOf]]?! At the moment Array.prototype.sort was shipped, I believe, Date has already been there. So right from the start array of dates were sorted "all Mondays first, all the Wednesdays last" :(
also, where `cmp` helper(just like String.prototype.localeCompare but for comparison based on < and >)?

Most programming languages have the same sort implementation in essence. Even C, C++ and even Lua. It's just that they don't default to ASCII when a compare function is not provided. Yeah Javascript is not very good at the job its meant to do. But we have typescript
