But yup, saw a documentary and said that was the only passage to get from one side of itaejon to the subway or something so don't assume everyone there were partygoers. Like some family going home got stuck there and don't forget the hotel that had its doors accesible only via that small alleyway. Condolences once more

Over 3 decades ago i attended a free Dianna Ross concert in central park. A flash flood occurred that turned into fears winds and heavy rains. At that time i was a healthy teenager with 0 health issues, yet when the entire crowd begain moving at once., i experienced extreme anxiety and with the crush of the crowd i found it almost impossible to breathe. I now avoid crowds. My heart goes out to the love ones of victims of this tragedy. 🙏

These people in the comments that are calling those people pathetic are honestly horrible beings. Most of those people were caught in the crowd while trying to go somewhere else. There was pushing and falling people everywhere. This incident was very tragic, so please do not make fun of those people. They were celebrating and didn’t know what was to happen to them. It wasn’t their fault. 😢

People treat this tragedy like it was some kind of natural disaster with no one's fault, but for me its a result of incredibly stupid decisions from many party goes. It takes time for a lethal crowd to build up, it happens progressively. Many people could obviously notice in advance that the crowd was getting dangerously crowded yet they chose to be part of that crowd, they chose to still walk that narrow and tense alley when they could have taken the main road. This decision hurt themselves and other people.

City officials are some of the people to blame for the horrific situation that unfolded in Seoul, South Korea in 2022. If the police and fire depts got involved early on they would have been able to install crowd controls and no one would have died. Did any of these officials go to jail for mass murder, I think not.😢
