I wonder why these setups bottleneck with 1080p? But these configurations at 2k/4k looks good..

I know this is an older video but if we’re comparing cpus for gaming shouldn’t you be using the lower resolutions to actually see the cpu differences? High resolution is gpu bound, high FPS is cpu.

i have a processor and 7700k (overclock 4.8) and i am thinking of rtx 2080ti. I have an acer predator 2K 144hz monitor. Do I need to worry about bottleneck? I usually play BTF5.

7700k still strong after all these years. I won't upgrade until the new faster DDR5 RAM upgrade.

In 4k resolution most of the stress is on the gpu so that's something great for those with previous gen cpus. I guess I'll keep the "upgrade pc" money to a new gpu and a 4k monitor

Where is the proof of those ocs? Looks to me like u won the silicon lottery on every single chip. How come your 6700k is so cool with 1.44Volts? U cooling with liquid nitrogen or delidded and put liquid metal on?

Just what i wanted to see, 7700k gets bottlenecked at 1440p is some titles but is on par with the higher core count CPUs at 4k. Going to upgrade my 1080 to a 3080Ti this year for use at 4k 120hz and hold off on the CPU upgrade until 2021 for DDR5.

OP--I'm a little late to the party, but couldn't help notice the 6700k @4.7ghz 1.44v--That is some serious voltage on the CPU. I know all CPU's aren't the same, but still, that's danger territory. Enjoyed the video.

I7 6700k at 4K will have 0 bottleneck since the graphic card will take most of the load no need to upgrade

if you are gonna do a cpu test, 1440p is not the right resolution

so my 6700k will bottleneck the 30 series cards a little bit, but I think it'll survive with a 3070, 3080 may be pushing it a bit

How much fps loss for 6700k at 1080p for siege if it's on stock?

i7-6700K here. Looks like I bought the right CPU a while back and may not need to upgrade when sticking a 3080 into my system. Maybe start overclocking it a bit but should get most of the performance from the card. Nice!

NO! BAD! You don't overclock the snot out of the 6700k when doing a comparative benchmark!

You keep the cpu's at either stock, or at least an average overclock at most. This benchmark is not representative of the 6700k's performance.

I ran 4.6Ghz stable on this chip with about 1.32-1.35V for 4 years until I now need to either continue up the voltage or reduce core clock. 4.7Ghz on this chip requires a pretty substantial voltage increase for very little gain. A much better OC for this video would be 4.4Ghz.
