Currently, drone operators can use an API, developed in collaboration between KPN, TEOCO and AirborneRF, to predict coverage and ensure command and control and payload data connectivity in the Netherlands. Han de Glint, Business and Product Development Manager at KPN, explains that they're ready for Dutch drone operators and the ecosystem to use this service.

In this interview, Han explains how KPN, a leader in the field, has been instrumental in facilitating operations in the Netherlands. They're tackling the challenge of proving connectivity for BVLOS flight authorisation requests, an area that has traditionally been separate from telecoms.

He's joined by Thomas Neubauer, co-founder and CEO of Dimetor, the creator of the AirborneRF software that has been instrumental in delivering these solutions. Thomas explained to us how the practical application of this is no longer theoretical. Drone operators are already testing it and the initial feedback is positive.
