A few years ago, I actually saw a Skippy plush toy on Ebay. I didn't bid on it and I haven't seen once since. Yeah, I'd like to see some episodes, though I have the first four on DVD.

One of the longest, most obnoxious intros ever made for a cartoon.

the ones singing this song sound so much like friends of mine a group called junction 87 they play all through out arizona mostly.

i sure hope spomeone would post episodes of this show on here in english too id be one happy roo myself.

Never seen or herad of this cartoon, but the song style is pretty close to the intro of Blinky Bill.

@HypercatZ Blinky was Yoram Gross too - was pretty much their thing to have longer-than-normal intros. :)

Skippy's intro has got to be longer than Maude's.

I managed to find the first season on DVD just recently. It took me ages to track it down. They really shouldn't get upset at people uploading these shows if they don't make them available on the market.

0:25 Pos (the foxlike possum with the camera and the long green jacket) is so adorable how he trips backwards as he's trying to film Skippy walking towards him. He's my favorite character and I haven't even seen any dialogue of him!

Someone should upload the episodes in English. I've only found one guy who has uploaded episodes and they are all in German with only German subtitles available.

I can't believe I remember the tune! I only heard it once like....twelve years ago (not even in English might I add)...and watching this now...not one note is off. I gotta get caught up again.

Holy crap, a 2 minute intro? We're lucky to get 30 seconds these days in the US.

They used the long intro to cut down on the ammount of original animation per half hour.

Yeah, they could have had a trimmed opening, and used the full one elsewhere.  Looks like a good show though, I'll check it out.
