We enter a world of unending semantics when we create a politics that is based on wanting power. Dissent, terrorism or extremism are not interconnected ideas, and we should not see them as such. If ideas represent complete and mature thoughts (well founded in reason or observations that prove accurate), then incomplete empty notions that lack substance must be set aside as ineffectual. As beings we don’t adopt strategies and efforts that give evidence of failure, on the contrary, we reject them as a matter of course.. Politics must be based on finding authority, that is to say, find the next good idea that works in sustaining the objective. Of the people, by the people and for the people is the objective. It is a good idea, and one well founded in reason. Our politics are not empty or wanting when in support of the objective and our very authority to be and act is derived therefrom and thereby. Authority is without violence and violence is without authority — perhaps that is the nature of things.
