I bought a guitar from ebay, 7 string, FR, dragon inlay in neck, and body, was far from good, but looked good, basically firewood..lol, or a wall decoration. I hung it in my buds vintage audio store, someone broke in and stole it..lol

I got a Selmer Maccaferri archtop Style 7 string guitar from a Chinese luthier in Aliexpress for 900 USD... it turned out a superb instrument, someone out there really knows how to make these style guitars.

I got a fanned Ibanez rgif7 for 400$ blemish model, and love it. Had to go through it with setup, strings, fav pickup etc. but that's a given anyways...

I only buy cheap guitars. Add new strings and maybe some new pick ups. I'm not paying an extra $700 for a popular brand logo on the headstock

It just goes to show you how much we are getting ripped off. The companies we know use these places and mark shit up to astronomical prices. I for one never feel bad about getting a guitar from over seas sites. Thats where they come from anyhow!

I've been wanting another guitar for a long time but don't want to spend what they cost these days. AliExpress here I come! I'll just throw new electronics on it when it comes. Thanks for opening my eyes!

Looking to get a BC Rich V from AliExpress and replace all of the electronics and hardware. Huge Pat O’Brien fan and unfortunately BC Rich just don’t feel like making cool guitars anymore.

I’m willing to strip and gut the thing, replacing it from the bridge to the pots, but I’m worried the woods won’t hold up and will end up cracking. I’ve also heard nightmare stories about inaccessible truss rods. Should I pull the trigger guys?

Usually this guitars i recommend changing the pickups. I once got an 8 string from aliexpress and pickups were just crap, its not only low output but it sounded like as if a emg pickup doesnt have batteries in it and the pickups were passive
