Even the swrong are amazing! LOTR is perfect!
ОтветитьYou guys should invite “the pwnisher” back to the couch.
Ответить“All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us”. That’s a tautology! 🤦🏻♂️
ОтветитьVFX artist react to bad and great cgi in best films of all times 2*
ОтветитьSo we're not going to talk about the terrible Legolas horse-jump from The Two Towers huh?
ОтветитьWhen preproduction started on this, Nintendo 64 was considered cutting edge home graphics.
ОтветитьLOTR is a masterpiece. The Hobbit was a terrible mistake.
ОтветитьNah but they didn't have to do vfx for that one angry scene of Bilbo, they could've just gotten Ozzy Osbourne to come in for that one scene, we wouldn't have been able to tell
Ответить4 years ago. Congrats guys.
ОтветитьThis would be good if you all weren't insufferable fgts.
Ответитьthey didnt cover the ents smh
ОтветитьThe rotating people flying around due to the explotion of helms deep aren't real peopla?! What?! Can*t get over it!^^
No, seriously, its nice to get some entertaining insight of all the insane cgi work behind the scenes. Well done!
Weta Workshop needs way more attention
Ответить4 years since and still no Hobbit reaction
ОтветитьDid you all every do the hobbit? I’m just wondering if I’m over looking it by mistake.
ОтветитьWhy cant any of you say the word miniatures correctly
ОтветитьWe need a part 3!!
ОтветитьThey can’t tell birds from bats
ОтветитьWhen Sauron explodes, did you add in the scream?
ОтветитьCrazy to think Peter Jackson also did Meet the Feebles 🤯
Ответитьdon't quote me but im pretty sure that the lord of the rings were the first 1080p movies that came out. but what's impressive is the computers were not even 1080p. how they did this is insane.
Ответитьthe basically JUST did fellowship, and i don't blame them. there are too many vfx for 20 minutes of video
Ответить"omg Legolas skateboarding on a shield is so unrealistic"
Stuntman does it for real just with a fall protect harness
We need a Massive Engine based LotR game with all the actual mocap and models from the movies
ОтветитьEXCELENTE RWPORTAJE, FELICIDADES.
ОтветитьIt's good that they made VFX shots looks good in normal speed without seeing any mistake.
ОтветитьIndia couldn't do this even with today's generation
ОтветитьOne of my favorite tricks they used was the fire for Faramir’s pyre. Those flames were real, but the pyre wasn’t burning.
They built an identical pyre a good distance away and lit that one, then used a mirror to “superimpose” the flames onto the real pyre. The camera couldn’t tell the difference! That’s why the horse was so calm, and how Faramir, Denethor, and Pippin’s stunt double were able to jump/be thrown onto the pyre without fear of burning anything
Sam sees Frodo slide the ground into mount Doom must had him mind blowing. "ok im so tired" xD
ОтветитьWonder when these guys will do that hobbit video they mentioned
ОтветитьThese movies were made with passion and pure love
Ответитьpeter jackson did not make hot fuzz 💀💀
ОтветитьFeeling a bit low this week…decided to rewatch the entire playlist to feel better!
ОтветитьThe army of Uruk-Hai marching through the mud and rain with the overhead lightning strikes briefly lighting them up is still my fav CGI. The low light matched with the way the lightning flashes off of their armor making them look so numerous and coordinated is just 👌
ОтветитьI strongly recommend to everybody to watch the full making of LotR it is absolutely mindblowing.
They did 10 years of preparation eg. Making plastic chainmail, sewing dresses, handcrafting scabbards etc. before they did their first shots.
They uniquely handcrafted and aged every prop piece for every character from Frodo to Rohirim Guarsdsmman No. 42. It is pure insanity and the most ambitious project since the panama canal.
Watching this again 5 years after the reaction came out - it is AMAZING to see how well The Lord of The Rings holds up.
ОтветитьI'd just like to say quickly, that my step-dad is Olly Coleman and he worked on lots of the miniature motion control shots. He just told me that there was a problem with the helms deep set because it wouldn't line up properly with the live action set.
ОтветитьI went so deep in your mom, I unleaded the Balrog.
ОтветитьThe scene running across the bridge always took me out of it. Yes the models look photorealistic but the acceleration of their movement is so off. There's something about how they slow down then speed up. I do think you would slow down at first since the bridge is scary and then you would speed up to get off it, but you would see that in the animation itself. Some hesitation. But it looks wrong as they get on the bridge
ОтветитьWhat du you think about "Flow" from 2025. I love that movie. Basically made in Blender
ОтветитьI have been waiting for the Hobbit comparison ever since... the slap-in-the-face to the audience in the form of the totally copy-pasted army of elves that compares to the mockery of Meet the Spartans' Persian army, and the fact that even in the close-up shots you can see how they even have the very same faces... is worth talking about.
Ответитьis the middle guy linus tech tips brother they sound identical
ОтветитьThese movies are a quarter of a century old. It is amazing how well they hold up. Still better than anything since.
