Even an Automatic choke requires attention.
On a Carter 2BBD carburetor typically found on all 80's AMC vehicles (Jeep, Eagle and Concord) and possibly earlier designs the initial setting for the automatic choke requires careful adjustment or else a cold engine will be either too rich or too lean. The Technical Service Manual is vague on two parts of this process: the quarter turn enrichment of the electric choke and the setting of the choke enrichment by one notch.
This video is to aid anyone who is needing to perform this adjustment. It is assumed the carburetor has been rebuilt with all internal adjustments performed and the linkages all move freely.
