So tempting to say, We lost our ways and us not disciplining women with GBV or men for that matter because the sword cuts both ways, we may be tempted to feel disempowered when disrespect is experienced in relationships, any ships for that matter. The truth of the matter is, that you cannot force, beat, shout, manipulate, or play mind games to stimulate anyone into respecting, valuing, and or loving you. Love, Respect, and Loyalty are choices people make based on the experience they are having with you. That said, if Love, Respect and Loyalty are no longer being served, serve your tenure and leave with dignity and respect and love yourself enough to say I did the best I could do and it was sadly not meant to be, this was either a lesson, reason or seasonal relationship, not the last not the end of the world. Thank Mr Maake for speaking on a very tough conversation, so many of the dilapidated relationships in our society are as a result of unhealed childhood traumas unhealed and majority are as a result of GBV in the household.
