Absolutely fantastic work. Making childhood daydreams closer to reality!
ОтветитьIt looks so authentic, I love how you're fleshing out the ship beyond what we saw on the tv show, when you take the camera from above and bring it down into the corridors, the detail you've put into it just makes it seem so real.....don't know how else to describe it
ОтветитьCool.
Adam savage used one of those snake inspection cameras to get some interesting views of an architectural model he made
You have a great day as well. Love your mission 😎🖖
ОтветитьAmazing job so far!!!!
ОтветитьHow are you affording to take the time?
ОтветитьAbsolutely inspiring.
My Rocinante will take years but at 1 to 25 scale, will only be about 6ft high. Your Enterprise will be about 40ft!!
I’ve not done much for several weeks by way of deck plans but I’ll get back to it soon enough
Love the progress. We can all see the mental and physical work that goes into the model.
ОтветитьAmazing! Keep up the good work
ОтветитьThis is really fantastic work and every update is a treat.
I know that in some previous videos you've shown stairs at the end of the corridor that follows the curve of the undercut, but in this video when you move around to that view, the curve of the floor looks to be gentle enough on that scale that maybe stairs aren't absolutely necessary? The thought in my head about removing the stairs is wondering: what if they were moving equipment down these corridors - would stairs help or hinder? And since we've seen them use anti-grav devices in the series, stairs may be a moot point. Either way, I think your instincts are spot-on in creating things we never got to see in the series, and it's always a pleasant surprise to see what you've come up with along the way.
Thanks for taking on this monumental task. The final result will be amazing, but the journey along the path is also extremely satisfying.
How is anyone going to see the interior unless there are no skin panels?
ОтветитьIf you need anything 3D printed mate just ask you have my email address as I will and Im sure many others would love to help out as many of us have been Trekkies and star wars fans Kids since the 1970s also the wiring for the LED lighting is gonna be mad on its own let alone all the detail which is so good by the way mate
ОтветитьReally cool. Will continue to watch your progress. Love the idea of using what's available as a part for the ship. Will the shower be sonic? Anticipating the result.
ОтветитьHey Mr. Trek - - ST Enterprise did show a shower 🧖🏼♂️🚿
Captain Archer was showering early in episode when anti-gravity went out! (Maybe that shower can be a reference)
Great work 😎👍🏼
PS - - did the decontamination room (ST ENT) double as a sauna? 🧖🏻🧖🏻♀️
Love your excitement and enthusiasm, Thanks for sharing your Dave with us. Well done. LLAP.
ОтветитьEveryone get this guy a 3D printer What do you recommend ? Creality Ender 3 ? or larger but better maybe resin printer would be good he needs it and you know what would look awesome is small OLED Arduino controlled screens from aliexpress on the bridge and other places small Oled screens are so cheap just need a programmer to help come on guys
ОтветитьMore amazing work from our chief Engineer! Love the view screen idea! Keep up the great work 🎉
ОтветитьDEFINITELY a viewscreen!
ОтветитьLove the use of the glue cover for the view screen! As soon as you showed it, I thought, “That looks like a view screen!”
ОтветитьMate. Just... mate. You are achieving the upper echelons of nerdom that have only ever been dreamed of. Congrats on your endeavour and wishing you all the best. :D
ОтветитьG-Rod would be proud.
ОтветитьAs always, great work!!!
ОтветитьI wish the Starship Enterprise was built to scale, then make her a tourist attraction. I'd go🖖🖖🖖🖖🖖🖖🖖
ОтветитьHow many of those corriders over the arch are there going to be in total?
ОтветитьDo you need a 3D printer?
ОтветитьJust freaking wow! No other words man!! You are one creative and focused dude! Looking forward to seeing more brother
ОтветитьOk Mr. Trek, refresh my memory. Where will you display the whole model? Will it have cut away or clear viewing skin? Is this permanent?
ОтветитьWow! What a project! You do beautiful work! 🖖🏼
ОтветитьGood god man! Amazing work!
ОтветитьCheck with the manufacturer of the glue. They might have tons of that all over the place.
ОтветитьCannot wait to see in time interior staged shots with crewmen.
ОтветитьThat mixing tray is made from PTFE, I think. You'll want to rough up the surface and use a damn good primer to get paint to stick, because it does not like paint at all.
ОтветитьI got sidetracked and fell behind watching my favorite construction worker and,,, Starship engineer. So clever🙂
ОтветитьCool how Jeffries would use 'found objects' in the look of TOS because of budgetary restraints, just like you. However, you need a 3D printer for sure...!
ОтветитьThanks for the quick update. Inspiring as always.
ОтветитьLooks awesome!
ОтветитьYour craftsmanship is fantastic, I'm really impressed with how this build is going and the work you've done so far. I'm an old school Trek fan who also happens to be a 3d artist and engineer, and I know you said you don't have a 3D printer YET, but I would be more than happy to volunteer some spare time to modelling and even printing anything you need.
ОтветитьBrilliant reuse of materials with the viewscreen! I love how you're really seeing the potentials in just commonly found objects! If everyone could find new ways to use discarded things we'd be far better off :) Always looking forward to seeing your progress. Onwards!
ОтветитьAbsolutely fantastic work! 😮
ОтветитьYEP! Insane scale indeed! But awesome!!!✌️🤘🇨🇦
Ответить@1.16 Insert obligatory Captain's Chair/Captain's log joke here.
After finishing this monumental task, your obvious but unstated goal of shrinking yourself to 1/25 of your current size should be a breeze.
Meanwhile, Scotty 3D prints it out in a week. 🖖
ОтветитьWow that plastic bit at the end was amazing....seriously what are the chances of getting a tv screen....lol indeed 📺 😂🖖🎉
ОтветитьEvery model built. Every blueprint. All never add the Jeffries tubes! I collected nearly all series blueprint but never ever ever is a Jeffries tube shown!!
ОтветитьExcellent~
ОтветитьYour build is astonishing, each of your vids leaves me picking my jaw up off the floor.
As you are an expert on the Enterprises interior, and since the hive here really knows their Trek, I was hoping someone could answer a question.
Was there a manual escape hatch on the floor of the bridge? I seem to remember reading it in a blueprint or technical book. To be used to escape the bridge in the event the power was cut (either accidentally or maliciously). The hatch was on the bridge floor immediately in front of, and between, the Helm and Navigation.
This is really foxing me, as I am sure I read it, but I can not find the reference anywhere.
Any input is welcome.
The arch in the corridor floor to accommodate the arch on the underside of the ship is perfection
ОтветитьThe newer series will never have fans like you. No one will worry about building a Discoery or a Cerritos. There be flaws in the construction that Need to be improved. And you‘re one of those who does that. Madness!
Das Wölfchen
While i think laminated cardboard starships are the future, we are not quite there yet.
ОтветитьWow! Where will you assemble the completed model?!
Ответить
