I'm shocked that there's a speedrunning scene for this game, both bc fighting game speedruns are super uncommon, and bc the game sucks real bad in a not fun way

I was like that glitched dude with my friends back in the day, especially with racing games like Forza Motorsports 2. There was like class/car specific and performance capped races where you had to use like an American muscle car and it couldn't be higher than A800 or Corvette only races and they'd try and try and try and not be about to win. I'd come un upgrade the car and upgrade it the way I liked, turn all assists off like traction control, stability and abs then put it on the highest difficulty so they got more money and beat it first try lol. They'd try to play like that and would just constantly spin out and just spin the tires in rwd cars, tried to tell them it's not like need for speed and you need to have throttle control, you can't just floor it the whole time and that you're quicker with all the assists off but they wouldn't listen lol.

Sometimes I wonder when it comes to speed runs if some games have memory leaks that could potentially result in easier or harder runs.
I remember dark souls 3 & Bloodborne both had memory leaks at launch that could result in bosses loosing most of their moveset if the game had been simply running for too long, tho I think in that case the actual game had to be loaded for it to start, so you couldn't just sit on the main menu and leave the game running before an attempt. But I could be wrong and im sure some games that would work to affect RNG.

Rotating stick mechanics is a pain. I was just catching big fish with Arthur in RDR2, and if you cast that lure way out, you'll be rotating for the next 4 minutes. 🫤

Nobody uses the pause bug that makes your Super do double damage and makes it unblockable? Surely it would speed things up if you're already doing your 4 punch string while they're blocking instead of just finishing it and starting again.

Can I just say I appreciate your love of the board game mode for Budokai 2? Literally made me subscribe. Everyone always says BK2 sucks because of this, but I've always loved it, and I was sad it wasn't included in the remaster.

I always find so fascinating that people would toil away against the cruel mistress that's RNG in those speedruns, where no matter how perfect your run was, it could all go away in a second, beyond your control. Good job on the video Rixer, you manage to capture show even against those odds, people still love the game so much, they go through with it, also the episodes titles was so funni lmao
