Ответитьthe mister of battle is a very good technique tutorial
Ответитьyou make it look so easy
ОтветитьAm I the only person who noticed that the stormcast models look almost exactly like the sanguinary guard?
Ответитьthis is great!
ОтветитьSo I bought a GW pin drill because I needed to do emergency repairs. Later when I got home I removed those flaps you were complaining about for the same reason you described. A couple of weeks later the plastic along the metal twisting thingy used to tighten and loosen the chuck began to distort and a few days later broke altogether. Hence, I personally believe those flaps are there for structural integrity.
ОтветитьI am so thankful for your dedication to the community. Thanks for teaching and helping us improve.
ОтветитьSculpting and molding get you straight out of "kitbashing" territory and into "converting". So no you are not kitbashing. just saying.
ОтветитьYou had me up until female space marines.
ОтветитьIncredible amount of skill and dedication shown here mate, well done
Ответить😊first it's an idea amozon are pressing but first always look at armour that was used by a woman no Boob shapes but more depth with the back and front .second games workshop invented the sisterhood idea also Inquisition women is quite fine by most who've used the books by black library. Anyway I do enjoy your sculpting so how about a animal to attack beside its master Primaris marine running into battle. Ives seen art work showing such things so please show us that !😊
ОтветитьTheir nippers are replicating what a godhand does. The flat isn't supposed to move through plastic; it lays on one side, stablizing the plastic as the blade moves through to the flat.
Ответитьwhen I'm kitbashing I normally take parts from things like kill teams which have a lot of extra parts, its definitely limiting but normally it has what I need
ОтветитьKitbash is king!!
ОтветитьI know I'm late to this video but I want to say that I love your Mister of Battle. I never really got why people can happily imagine all kinds of fantasy creatures, horror monsters and futuristic tech but anything that remotely resembles a queer character or a woman in a male-dominated field is off-limits, even though we exist in the real world. Whatever someone's opinion on all of that is, I don't think there's ever a reason to get angry at someone for depicting something like that in a universe that has all kinds of craziness going on.
ОтветитьThis is the dumbest take of all time. Every true 40k fan knows the imperium would be a god awful place to live. It's grimdark for a reason. They don't portray it as a fascist utopia.
ОтветитьCould you not have just covered those hole in the visors with some milliput and then paitning.
Ответитьghey
ОтветитьKitbashing and converting is the whole reason I got into the hobby. I always come at it from a 'rule of cool' or 'I want to see this' kind of angle. Make what you love and keep yourself interested. 😊❤
Ответитьokay, I'm all on board and use the same kind of tools. But.. WHY IS IT SO HARD TO FIND EXTRA HARD, SMOL COLOR SHAPERS. I don't need a floppy silicone tool for epoxy putty. What are they even for, spreading oil paint or something?
ОтветитьI've used Apoxie epoxy clay putty, which is similar to militput, but feels more like clay, where you can add water and make a slip out of it, but sometimes it's not as sticky.. so maybe mixing it with some miliput would help, or I need to learn how to use it better. I've also seen others use a mix of miliput and greenstuff which gives the miliput a little more give, while keeping the hardness and sandibility of miliput.
So lots of things to experiment with. But agreed, greenstuff is .. probably the worst option I've used. It's not terrible.. but it's certainly the .. least good.
All right, all right. You convinced me to collect dark angels instead of imperial fists.
Ответить👍👍
ОтветитьYour video has rekindled my motivation to continue kit-bashing my abhuman admech character (a cat person medic), thanks for the awesome video!
Do you per chance have any sage advice/wisdom for sculpting a tail or cat ears?
as much as it'd be simpler to buy bits and wedge it together like an ogryn, i've honestly never tried sculpting and your video really makes me want to give it a try ☺
Not finished the video yet so sorry if its later on. How do you store bits? Do you keep them on sprue and sort them by kits, or sort them by weapons/heads/banners? I've just got back into the hobby and its my first time taking it seriously. I collect seraphon and have models like the old cold one knights which I am wanting to convert into Raptadons, I'm gonna make a council of iddy biddy frogs to use as a slann kitbash. But I just don't know an efficient way to look for bits, i've just been slowly going through my sprues and the odd pop up on FB marketplace or ebay.
I also just got a bunch of raptadons cheap on ebay but they are in terrible condition with loads of gaps and are going to need a lot of work, so they are gonna be my test run for green stuff and milliput.
Also any advice on how to stick to one project at a time😭
excellent stuff, love brother of battle idea/
ОтветитьThe mould line tool is useful for younger children but yeah the scapel us the most practical tool
ОтветитьWell GW may have cut ties, but at least you still have your dignity and hobby street cred.
ОтветитьThe older mold line remover was also miles better than the current one
ОтветитьCan we talk about the handy work w the exacto blade here? Holy crap those are some skills - very nice work Trov
ОтветитьI looked away for a second and when I looked back, I had to wonder why the mini suddenly had two pairs of super long saggy testicles... I realized they were bones a few seconds later. 😅
ОтветитьSubscribed and liked.
This is amazing dude!
I’m a historical figure guy, but your sculpting techniques are multi-genre. Well done.
ОтветитьEngagement
ОтветитьThe only thing weird about your Mister of Battle is it's the ONLY one that got special attention and painted lmao 🤣
Love the video! I learned quite a bit
Just turn you brush around and you have a wide range of sculpting tools - thank me later 🙂
ОтветитьThe head of Sister of silence is not horrible, your night lord and blood angel are wonderful.
ОтветитьDefenatly add right shoulder pad... it seems too thin this was for such a chunky guy :) great video! Cheers
Ответитьi dont care what people say that shoulder with the demon bat face AND a bone on it's mouth gives it a "dog" feel that i cant shake off, that shoulder is such a good chaotic boy...
ОтветитьI was on board for about 1.4 seconds until I saw the trans sister of battle. Sorry but I cannot endorse psychopathy. Everything else abs amazing but that nty.
ОтветитьGW does make the most nightmare-inducing female faces. To be fair, their male faces are pretty lousy as well. I use helmets on pretty much all of them - every Astartes, and most Adepta Sororitas have helmets instead of bare heads because, damn, those things are just terrible.
ОтветитьAnd Good Lord, that Bro of Battle needs to see a doctor about that gynecomastia 😂
ОтветитьAbsolutely insane kitbashing, you're on a whole other level.
Ответить❤️❤️❤️
ОтветитьMy favorite thing with the GW tools is that you can get better from ali express. No shit, I was tempted to get the exacto knife because of the thumb guard and the fact that it is more ergonomic so less hand cramps with the ability to tighten the blade without rotating and testing the direction over and over. Long winded I know, but ali express has two similar blade holders that work just as well... for 5$. Canadian.
ОтветитьAmazing skills dude, could you just make some ork kitbashing?? Specially I think that Speed freeks is a very easy kitbashing and inspiring, and maybe blood axe orks, like taktik orks that think themselves as cunning as humans with their taktiks and so, incorporating pseudo marine armors, radios and that kind of stuff... Thanks a lot in advance...
ОтветитьNeed more of that night lord! Incredibly
