I bought one of these from west marine. Its very fast but unreliable. It's constantly failing. Better bring a paddle, as this thing will strand you in the middle of nowhere.
ОтветитьCan it whip cream?
ОтветитьIf you buy one of these get the West maine extended warranty. Mine is 2 years old and I'm on my third motor. The current one is making a bad noise and will soon fail. The motor is horrible! E-45, E-30, E-42... If you buy this junk you will soon learn what all these error codes mean (get out the paddle)
ОтветитьJust installed the Torqueedo 1003 on my ancient Avon Redstart dinghy. It sprang instantly into action and gave new life to that pokey old inflatable. Quite a ride with just battery power.
Ответить1. Can you drag it through the water under sail and charge the battery? 2. Can you attach another external battery pack for more run time?
ОтветитьWith a motor set up solar charger ,it would cost well over 4 thousand dollars . Ouch . For a tupperwear prop that will fail if you hit anything . I guess you could buy more props . This is for the dock travelers not a day out fishing. Oh don`t forget the oars you`ll need them on a trip longer than 2 miles.
ОтветитьPros: Everything is self contained, battery and motor. Easy to mount and assemble. Can be charged with a solar panel while being operated.
Cons: $1,999.00? Too expensive for one complete solution. Extra battery is an additional $600.00. At full throttle, the battery will last 30 minutes. It also takes 10 hours to charge the battery.
Conclusion: For under $600.00, you can get a 70 lb. thrust trolling motor, battery box and a deep cycle battery that will last longer at full throttle. And you can use the remaining $1,400.00+ for other equipment like a GPS or depth finder or any other gear you may need. Sometimes all that glitters isn't always gold.
It s not possible to remove those horrible cables? By something by induction? When are you launching a much more powerful engine and all the solar panels etc accessories to charge easily your motors? A boat manufacturer to recommend to element your motor directly onto their boats with all your system (might be cheaper than making all the install ourself)?
Ответить2300,00 euro, prezzo troppo alto
ОтветитьA clean high tech solution and a great no nonsense honest presentation. I loved it.
Ответитьtake my money
Ответитьthis motor is defenetly very expensive and lifecicle of motor and battery is really bad. never use it on sailboats, rate of distress is high. and the power at 4-6 Bft. with waeves is really useless
ОтветитьI've had one of these for 5 years. It's horribly over engineered. They have all these software errors that come up with no fix while on the boat. E-45 happens whenever the prop is entangled or hits something. The manual says to recharge the battery! Actually, this can be fixed by just unplugging everything and waiting about 20 minutes. Not a good solution when this happens in surf. This product will eventually kill someone. The manual should have said "buy a Minn Kota next time dummkopf"
Ответитьhow fast is it?
ОтветитьLove it, how can we collaborate?
ОтветитьA spare battery is $1000.00 I can buy a lithium ion battery 100AH for a $1000.00 and my minkota will run further longer more efficiently and LAST much longer.
ОтветитьDont forget to bring a small gas generator when u travel in distance...
ОтветитьI've seen toy aircraft with stronger propellers!
ОтветитьWe just got a Traveler 1003 and can not figure out how to get it to tilt. The manual is no help. Can anyone explain it? We haven’t tried taking the circular cotter ring off the pin at the back but I can’t believe it could be something so difficult and likely to get dropped and sink to the bottom.
ОтветитьDon't do it - we have one of these and have had no end of issues with it - now an effective write off and we've replaced it with a Suzuki.
ОтветитьNo thanks I will stick with my Tohatsu 3,5. I can easily bring 1 gallon of gasoline with me each time.
ОтветитьGoodevening, where can i buy foldable CIGS solar panel, please ?Regards fabio
ОтветитьThis video is from 2012. Obviously battery technology has improved in the last 8 years...has this model been updated, or is the 1003 still relying on 2012 technology?
ОтветитьePorpulsion technologicall far away from torqedo..
1-batary connection with plastic pin by torqeedo is really technologicall fail.If you loose it is gone..It is not floating.
ePropulsion Battery bigger capacity, easy connection and floating.
2-TWO wire connection of torqeed makes many connection
failures.ePropulsion only one wire connection.
3-control panel of torqeedo create many problem due to connection while mounting..ePropulsion rigit on the main body so eliminate connection problem
4-ıf you check silent test torqedo reach 74dsb full power while ePropulsion only 48dsb
