This is Russians` modus operandi. At first, create a conflict and fuel that conflict by providing arms and ammunitions to one of the sides and then play a "mediator".

Estonia, Lithuainia and Latvia suffered Soviet censorship of national folk songs, language and culture. Upon the fall of USSR, the people of those countries formed a human chain across the land and borders. Nobody but Russia wants a czar or king or obedient puppets of any czar or king.

Sper că ne vom putea uni cu Transnistria! E trist cum suntem din aceași popor, dar suntem separați din cauza rușilor!😖☹️

Exactly the same OTAN (BBC boss and owner and the master BBC serves) did with Yugoslavia. You divided it and provoked a terrible war, and after provoking it you blame Serbians and bombed them. The problem is that you can not do the same with Russia

If Ukraine fell to Russia it's obvious Moldova would be next ... the only thing that stopped that in 1992 was logistical supply lines issues. I'm sure Moldova would love to join NATO but a country in conflict isn't allowed to.

Most of the conflicts like this require common border.

The “funny” thing is, that despite Moldova has border with Ukraine, not Russia, it was the russians again, who streched out their hands to mess up with this small harmless country.

They called it “civil war” again, of course😏. It was civilians and just some of the russian military forces, who just lost their way in moldovan forest

The solution is fairly obvious, Moldova and Transnistria have been living side by side very peacefully since the conflict ended in 1991 the EU should recognise Transnistria's wish to be independent especially since they have been self governing for over 31 years now. Recognising Transnistria would open up a dialog with the country and the people would soon seek to join the EU.

Republik of Moldavien has to send Intel an soldiers to suport Ukraine.
This is a direct threat to Moldova.
Moldova has to start admiting this danger and start helping strongly because it is in it's interests.
If they don't want to be atacked they have to send soldiers in silence , to send anonym, without Name and speaking Russian ...
Nobody will Notice.

All you know is what they show you on TV social media. SOCIAL MEDIA is the KEY weapon of the US and EU. Wake the f** up. Ukraine was also a "Candidate " it was just a provocation from the EU so Russia starts a conflict and becomes the bad guy JUST like in hollywood movies. You are all unbelievably stupid.

Transnistria is the east European equivalent of Rhodesia. That should tell you everything about the nature and motivations of the "government" in Transnistria... They're a self-serving bunch, with everyone opposed to them considered second class citizens. It's a petty little dictatorship oppossing the decolonization of territory cynically conquered by Russia, and nothing else.

Before the end of WWII, Moldova was part of Romania, and should have stayed part of it. Russian imperialism decided otherwise and forced Moldova into the USSR, with Transnistria being a covert effort to keep Moldova destitute, poor, and a potential staging ground for Russian invasions. The fact that Transnistria has been around for thirty years, and Russia has increasingly been waving the "Ukraine does not exist, the Baltics don't exist, Finland doesn't exist" card says a lot about the Russian colonialist mentality. Belarus, while a nominally independent country, has been recently increasingly puppetized by Russia. This sort of Russian colonialist mentality belongs in the 19th century, not the 21st century.

On 24.02.2023, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Moscow considers Transnistria as Russian territory!

So apart from fact that the KREMLIN started the UKRAINIAN CRISIS and now it's claiming the UNRECOGNIZED SEPARATIS STATE OF TRANSNISTIRA, witch on an INTERNATIONAL LEVEL does not EXIST! So what the KREMLIN is actually claiming is the MOLDOVAN DISTRICT OF TRANSNISTRIA!

KREMLIN, stop interfering in other countries business and mess thing up, if the KREMLIN continues to influence MOLDOVAN POLITICS it might start ANOTHER CRISIS or REIGNITE THE FROZEN CONFLICT OF THE TRANSNISTRIAN WAR!

Unrecognized state are places that do not exist in international relations, they have achieved de facto independence, often through warfare but have failed to gain international recognition!

Frozen conflict is a situation in which active armed conflict has been brought to an end, but no peace treaty!

Moldova doesnt just have a problem with corruption, corruption is what keeps the country from advancing, the thing is they dont have a problem with the 'advencing part, they have a problem with the country itself as an existing element, they should have retaken controll at least by the mid 2000s

Who controls Europe? NATO? or Putin? It is that simple. if it is NATO then the people breathe the air of person freedom and liberty. if it is putin - they don't. putin has been coloring far outside of the lines for far too long.
How do you balance the lives of 770 people protected by NATO against One - Mortal Individual?
With the putin junta keeping $1Ttrillion in countries protected by NATO - give patin a single choice - withdrawal from Ukraine by June 1, 2024 - of forfeit ALL russia junta assets kept in Europe. Permanently.
NATO can restore trnasnistria to Moldova - and give free safe passage t all russians living there - back to russia.
Time to bring real tangible pain to the single individual in russia as mortal as the guy he is standing next to.

It's funny how all comments here are one-sided, almost all the people here seem to have a solution to the problem, but none of them even closely take into consideration on what the people of Transnistria actually want. This place only exists because of cheap natural gas from Russia, without it, it would face the same fate as most of Moldavian villages and small towns, it would just die, the prices of everything would skyrocket, and it would be impossible to survive. Moldova chose its own fate, why do people of Transnistria have to suffer with it?
