ОтветитьThe 1960’s was the decade of the renaissance of modern music. Woodstock, in 1969, was the decades crown. To be a teenager in that decade was to be blessed beyond measure. I was such a one.
ОтветитьTo all the boomers commenting below; thank you for destroying the economy after your little counter revolution failed.
ОтветитьMy first child was conceived in a tent at Woodstock.
Ответитьbut Woodstock 99 is the most badass and brutal moment
ОтветитьI wasn’t even born for tens of years. I do remember the 99 version.
ОтветитьAmazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺
ОтветитьFunny how we don’t really hear about them burning down tents for price gouging…. But you really heard about it in ‘99!
Ответитьwoodstock 99 is the best
ОтветитьBorn in 67 I was not quite 2. Hands down the best time of my life!!!
Ответитьsame people who retired in latin america and southeast asia who complain about the very little inconvenience of the standard of living! whining b!tches!
ОтветитьI was there, 15 YO. Me and a friend, guy friend came from Sherman, PA. All the music was great. We stayed through the whole thing, and I got laid too. Wish I could find that woman now. I did buy and still have the 3 album set. Also didn'nt do the brown acid, purple tabs, yes. Would love some again, pure stuff. Maybe was the original purple osley as their were californians there. one thing was to ask where people were from. There was also 1 child born there, what a cherished position to be in. I later met a DR. who was there in the medical tent. We were colleagues and later talked about it. His name, Glen Joshpe. Awesome experience and old enough to appreciate it, even more so later and with revival of memories such as this.
ОтветитьWoodstock alleine war es wert geboren zu sein
ОтветитьAnd 99...

ОтветитьDaytime concert...aghhhhhhhh
Bands worst nightmare.
They all left it looking like a war zone.
The farmer was the one who really got screwed.
I was only 8 and thought it was a fort that the kids went to.
Ответитьdam im tired of these mindless black mirror lickin matrix cell "phone" sheople tootin the mk ultra agenda puppet "famous person"/idol hendrixs horn ... to their souless azzes it was a "hendrix 3 day concert" ...
ОтветитьIt's astounding how much negativity and mistaken/ misinformation you've packed into this unworthy video. Woodstock's problems came about unexpectedly. Not enough port-o potties- true- they were made from WOOD not plastic, but the overflow didn't get out into the main field. Some food vendors gave their food away, people shared clothes and ponchos to keep dry, after it was over many folks stayed behind to help clean up the post event mess, the people in town shared phone lines in their homes so people could make calls. While the event itself became over burdened with logistic problems, people still took care of each other. BTW- a baby was born on the location.
ОтветитьYes. I remember. Growing up in the 60's & 70's was absolutely a blast! It was indeed the "summer of love" and Woodstock wrapped up the summer and the slot in time for all music history! I got the LP set of music of Woodstock. My cousin went and we all watched it on TV..not one assault, and even the cops could not get over it. It was all about LOVE and kindness prevailed. Thanks for being truthful and posting only accurate pictures from Woodstock. Many videos today are laced with the degrading hate from other festivals and it was not like that in any way. There were millions there, free love, and Births happened at Woodstock. That was the way we lived. Free & Easy. The kids today could take a lesson but sadly won't. We knew how to " Tune in, Turn on, and Drop out." & " Make LOVE not War"
ОтветитьI was 18,hitched to Woodstock with three girls in a small van. Got high on the way there, stayed high,no acid for me The music was my high, did smoke a little weed with Janis Joplin. Cool lady.
ОтветитьIt wasn't upstate. It was down state
ОтветитьI was only 15 and my parents wouldn't let me our to go. I tried. I'm thinking Janis and Jimmy were the best.
ОтветитьJimi had dimples. That is so fetching.
Ответитьand where is 10 years after?
ОтветитьIf you remember the 60s you probably weren't there.
ОтветитьOur genx version wasn't so peaceful😮
ОтветитьThere are much more dead victims of woodstock festival 1969 than only three. There was a young girl also they found her dead at the trees she died of the results of gang SA. Lot of SA occurred. Too sad you failed to tell the truth.
Ответитьwhere people jsut effing infront of everyone?
ОтветитьCountry Joe and the Fish?
ОтветитьI saw the documentary when I was like 16, I wouldn't have wanted to be there, way too many people! Too many drugs, too much mud, too many times needing to pee....
I would have been screaming in frustration.
"upstate NY"? i wonder, did they look at a map to see Bethel is extremely southern NY. almost PA
ОтветитьNy girlfriend who is now my wife was at Woodstock 99 I was 19 she was 16
ОтветитьWent with 3 friends. We came into the festival from a road that came in from the south & lucked out. We got the car within a mile of the ampitheatre. For me the height of the festival was walking to the amp at 1 am in a light drizzle and hearing Joan Baez sing Joe Hill. I have told several young people to remember me on the 100th anniversary in August 2069.
ОтветитьGod bless USA
ОтветитьBoomers
ОтветитьWoodstock is really a lot of pumped up hype. Hundreds and thousands of people crammed in together is in no way fun, Especially when you have to take a crap real bad because by the time you fight your way through hundreds of thousands of people just to make it to the toilet.you've already shit your pants. Playing slip and slide through the mud is not my idea of having fun, I may as well shit my pants. Traffic jams!… Fuck that shit!… most of those cars ran out of gas just waiting to get through. What's even worse… It rained on day two of the festival. Woodstock was really a most miserable event. People got killed at this event and only to many people had "Bad Trips" caused by taking crappy low grade acid. Woodstock was three days of soggy wet misery. And this is all only few things iv'e mention about Woodstock. WOW!… I sure am glad I never attended Woodstock. And by the way Jimi Hendrix sounded just like shit. Thank God I missed Woodstock. It's all a bunch of pumped up hype. WOW!… What a "Brain Wash"
ОтветитьI didn't go to the festival but I saw the film when it came out. I was 16/17. I thought Hendrix looked like a god. Not just his guitar playing but the way he looked as well. I must have listened to The Star Bangled Banner thousands of times but everytime I see Hendrix playing it or hear it I'm overwhelmed. I still think he looks like a god.
ОтветитьWasn't TEN YEARS AFTER there they were my favorite
ОтветитьDid you mention "Ten Years After"?
ОтветитьI was 12 in a town nearby... My parents made us stay in the house during that weekend
ОтветитьSantana The Who Sly Stone and Hendrix🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
ОтветитьAll of the artist that played Woodstock are my Favorite
ОтветитьNoel Monk worked for Bill Graham was involved with staging Woodstock, later he was the road manager of the Sex Pistols he wasn't afraid to hit Sid Viscous or Johnny Rotten in the mouth if they got out of like, they were at a Truck Stop in Texas and had to hit Sid in the mouth for calling the waitress a name, the whole place stopped He yelled, You apologize to that woman!! could have been dangerous
