Doing a crappy little analysis of this video as someone who hasn't properly kept up with the genshin lore in months —>

the video begins with a brief view of the universe beyond teyvats firmament, this empty, hopeless void where remnants of a shattered moon float aimlessly, the remains of one of the three moon sisters, most likely– and skirk lays within these scattered remains, eventually descending down to teyvats borders like a shooting star. (resembling the animation that you see when you pull on the gacha banners, I must point out.)

This, along with surtalogis words, confirms that skirk hails from behind teyvat, however— unlike the traveler, she isn't a descender, because she doesn't possess the ability to challenge fate itself just yet, instead, she's more like the abyss sibling, in the sense that she was summoned by surtalogi to fulfill a task, a mission.

When we see furinas cameo, we can see that she's yet to possess a vision, and her hair is still long, so we can assume that skirk descended into teyvat after the cataclysm, and seeing as surtalogi, one of the five sinners was the one who summoned her, its likely she entered teyvat around 400~ years ago.

The other characters whos voices make an appearance in the animation are all noticably characters who are canonically/heavily implied to be immortal, (except for childe) emphasizing just how long skirk has been in teyvat for— noticably, the mausoleum of king deshret also still possesses its glow that reaches the sky, confirming that this takes place before the traveler woke up.

And along with that, if you take a closer look into skirks pupils, you'll see that they resemble the symbol of nihility from HSR, which likely doesn't mean anything, but I just thought it was a cool detail <33

I know this comment is a very 'stating the obvious' one, but I needed to get my thoughts out for the pure sake of updating myself on the lore lololol, hope it's still a fun read anyway!
