Hi kirby. Having visited Havana many times have loved your recent videos showing off the quality craftsmanship and tradition this amazing island. However I found the video of the final gala evening very disappointing with little class and very showy. Not your fault at all but if there is so much money floating about give it directly. The Cuban people deserve more than being subject to a auction. Keep up the good work. See you London

I know a lot of time and energy go into these videos. On one hand, this series to any unsuspecting outsider is wonderful- great production, a lovely well-meaning civil host, beautiful cigars, what's not to love? However, I wish to address the elephant in the room.

To be blunt, so much of what you have done with this series is profoundly tone-deaf. Just as North Korea is not the place to flaunt your sartorial splendor and wax poetic on camera about luxury leisure products, neither is Cuba. As every one of my Cuban friends has wholeheartedly told me, this island is literally a prison with palm trees. There is immense suffering all over the island once you leave the top 1% elite zones and businesses you showcase.

You wouldn't promote North Korean government-run businesses so why does Habanos get a free pass? These cigar rollers make about 15 to 25 U.S. dollars a month, yet many prices on the island are still at the international standard. Your shoes cost more than what the average person makes in a full year.

You must have heard how many rollers have risked their lives to flee to places like Nicaragua for a livable wage. It's one of the reasons why Cuba has been so behind on production and why the general quality of Cubans is going down despite the prices going sky-high. These people don't see any of that money, and certainly not from this so-called charity. It is why in good conscience I cannot support or promote buying Cuban cigars knowing how poor these people are treated. No local will tell you this on camera for very real repercussions.

If you espouse all this talk about admiring the Cuban people (who are essentially imprisoned and forcefully impoverished), you must take a stand for them. The solution for your predicament is easy: I urge you to stop promoting Habanos products and start exploring and promoting all the many excellent New World cigars made by Cuban exiles (Arturo Fuentes, Padron, etc). You keep saying you love these people so why not show them that love where they can actually receive it?

You've already accomplished so much on this channel and you should be very proud of what you started. But whether you like it or not, you are now a leader in this community, and with that comes a heavier responsibility. Please take a stand and we in this community will stand by you. I say this as a fellow American from a family with a long line of veterans. I have always supported your channel and truly wish you the best.

I know you are a Texan. A random fact: my ancestor was Sam Houston (Houston, Texas was named after him). Though I've never lived in Texas, its wonderful people are dear to my heart. Their passion for liberty, constitutional law, and self-determination is a beacon to the world. It's time we all put on our proverbial Texan boots and kick these communist dictators and their totally rotten business models to the curb.

Absolutely wonderful portrayal of a beautiful adventure. I would love to hear the thoughts and stories Kirby and the Sahakians have on enjoying cigars while in the outdoors. Wether it be while sporting in the pheasant fields, or a leisurely stroll in the Scottish highlands. What accessories and cigars do they prefer and what customs do they follow. As always enjoy your day.

A wonderful conclusion to another excellent series. Edward always seems like the wizened old patriarch of cigar aficionados. Every time you see Tom Chamberlin you realise what a really big guy he is. He makes Kirby and most other people in the room look small.

It is unfortunate to know that a work of art like that humidor is stained with the signature of the assigned dictator Dias Canel. I would like to know if he signed his name or what he is known as “El Singao”
