Like a 1000cc street bike on 4 wheels. Rwd?@ I need this
ОтветитьThis is the car
ОтветитьStop calling it a '3.9 liter'! That's just disingenuous.
It's a 81.5mm bore and 63.8mm stroke, which equals 3993.8cc.
It's a '4 liter' engine!
The only reason to call it a 3.9 liter is to meet some silly euro road tax which would put this car in a different tax bracket between 3.9L and 4.0L.
The government can do simple calculator math for displacement. No need for this charade.
Man., those rims look really light , almost look fragile
ОтветитьThis car reminds me of NFS SE2.
We use to use cheat code as FZR2000 to get similar looking car, which was way too fast.
Gordon is such a genius, if only I had the funds.
ОтветитьNo car is more special than this one in history. It's perfection
Ответитьlow weight, sitting in the middle AND the engine !
Ответитьi still like the front of the F1 better
ОтветитьI wanna go all the way... to the top, i believe it's right here with Mr. Murray
ОтветитьJust came back to re-watch this to remind myself of the T-50 because topgear has the First Drive video Uploaded and man does this car sound awesome. Wow
ОтветитьIll have one of each please thanks very much... Colour is not an issue any will do....
ОтветитьThat editor needs a raise for reminding us just how special the Mclaren F1 was in the beginning.
ОтветитьThere should be a documentary for the life of Gordon Murray
Ответитьseems like a great guy. totally unexpected. much respect for his engineering skills
ОтветитьThe McLaren f1 is a beautiful car
ОтветитьBetter doesn't mean better in this scenario
ОтветитьWe are not allowed to shake hands... what a slave!
ОтветитьThe F1 still looks better than the t50.
ОтветитьYep
ОтветитьLegend!
ОтветитьThis man is truly a legend
Ответитьgenius
ОтветитьI commission a 19000 rpm t50 from gma.... 1 of 1 t50 with pneumatic valve systems...
ОтветитьGordon murray=adrian newey👌
ОтветитьThe new one knocks 50 shades of grey out of the old.
ОтветитьGordon Murray Must Be The Best Car Person in The WORLD.
ОтветитьWhat a gentleman, what a legend!
ОтветитьI love that when Gordon Murray talks about the F1 you can tell that when he was making the car he really took into consideration how it would actually be as a driver's car. He was thinking about repair costs and how long the car would last. It was not merely an art piece or technical demonstration of the latest technologies that are all too immature to be reliable in any way, Gordon really thought about the kind of "insane" driver that wants a supercar to drive every day, keep for many years, and not have it in the shop every 3 months.
ОтветитьMcLaren should of give Gordon Murray free maintenance for life for what he did with the brand
ОтветитьWould love to see what Adrian Newey and Gordon Murray could do together
ОтветитьI'd still take the F1 today, tomorrow, and forever.
ОтветитьIt would sure be great if the designers of the T.50 and F1 could meet up
ОтветитьI KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE MISSING IM THE NEW CAR : AN ITALIAN DESIGNER 😅
ОтветитьDoes he not have McLaren F1 car?
ОтветитьClay?! That was a joke by Me and God. Adobe Auto. Jeez...😂
ОтветитьGordon Murray is a really Canadian Name by Me as my dad is Murray and Gordon is a really Canadian Name. The Europeans really try hard to convince the Canadians that they designed these cars from scratch in a factory. Not true at all. CANADIANS! I AM THE QUEEN OF CANADA AS DESIGNER WITH GOD!!!
Ответитьinterviewer is very annoying.. let the man talk without miming out dumb shit and interrupting.
ОтветитьGordon Murray is a genius. You only have to look at any of the cars he's designed to acknowledge that. From F1 and other lesser Formula racing cars, right through to the McLaren F1, the Light Car Co Rocket and now the T50.
He is also extremely self critical, which just shows his complete lack of any ego whatsoever.
The guy is a engineering/design legend that is up there with the likes of Adrian Newey.
Guy's, you should also check out Gordon Murray's Ford Escort Mk1. It's a beautiful restomod by Retropower to certain specs that Gordon insisted upon.
It has a 2.3 Durotech mated to a Mazda MX5 six speed gearbox and a bespoke independent rear suspension with a Sierra 7inch differential with Quaife internals.
The car is immaculate and is basically what a Mk1 Escort would be like if Ford made them today.
Probably because he doesn't design his cars for outright top speed. They're designed for a balanced performance, ie speed, comfort, cornering ability and efficiency.
ОтветитьFor all those that said the T50 was 'ugly'.
They need to realise that this car was designed in a 'function over form' philosophy. There are very few things that were designed purely for aesthetic reasons.
Gordon Murray seems to follow a similar design rhetoric as Colin Chapman (another genius) which was 'Simplify and then add lightness'. And just look at how successful Lotus were.
Also, I personally don't think it's ugly at all. Ok, it's not as dramatic looking at Lamborghini's or Ferrari's. But I guarantee it will outperform any one of them it terms of lap times. And it wasn't even designed as a track focused car.
If you look at any of the test driving reports then they all say just how comfortable and compliant the ride quality is and how easy and relaxing it is to drive.
Try saying that about a Lamborghini or Ferrari.
How do one goes from making McLaren F1 to this ugly monstrosity?
ОтветитьGM - What a superb salesman. I wish all UK car salesman knew their product like he does. Even if you were not in the market for a GMA T.50 after a 30 mins experience with this gentleman you would be walking out of there owning one. A true British legend. Sir Gordon Murray sounds good to me! Great video! Off to buy some Euro Millions Lottery tickets for tomorrow night. Looks amazing in silver btw! Couldn't take my eyes off the blue one at 2024 FOS. This car looks good from every angle and in any colour. A true piece of automotive art. Pure masterpiece in every way. And the noise it makes - Unreal! Must be heavenly to drive - one day, one day...
ОтветитьI love how t.50 has silhouette reminiscent of the f1 . you can see the linage. The T50 is a proper successor to its legendary predecessor . its design seems truely timeless , I can see it looking modern and contemporary 20-30 years from now. I love listening to Gordon talking about its design, innovations , and the science behind his creation. This passion and vision are why his cars are in a league of their own, and simply beyond compare.
ОтветитьMan is a true genius...
ОтветитьThat intro music. What's the name of the tune ?
