So, is India safe for Solo Travelers?
In my opinion, yes. Every country around the world has flaws, problems, and crime. India is no different.

But I found Indian people to be very kind, friendly, and helpful. I never got the feeling that the people in India wanted to harm me in any way - specifically because I was a foreigner.

Sure, they may target you to cheat you or rip you off when you buy something, but I don't count that as something 'unsafe'...just rather frustrating.

I spent 10 months solo traveling throughout northern India and loved it - I will go back soon to experience more!
