The Lotus that crashed in Goodwood did have tractioncontrol OFF. The driver forgot to turn it ON.. thats what happened, it was the drivers fault, not the car or the traction control.
ОтветитьThe first production car to offer steer-by-wire was the 2013 Infiniti Q50. The Q50's steer-by-wire system,
ОтветитьWhen it was a UK brand, Louts was considered to stand for "Lots Of Trouble, Usually Serious." Let's hope the Chinese reincarnation is more reliable!
Ответитьvery nice. what is the price?
ОтветитьI like the last phrase😂
ОтветитьLotus will always be a British brand. You can't alter history. And it can still be a British car if the UK government isn't so anti-China and self-harming.
ОтветитьStill no video on the ONVO L60 either Nio snubbed you Sam and you got your feelings hurt or a competitor is paying you to not report on them. I’ve been a follower for a long time I’m a Tesla share holder and your EV coverage is really good what I can’t understand as your clear bias against Nio. Does anyone know what happened because at one time he covered Nio and now basically nothing.
ОтветитьThis is why I want a Fiat 500e Arbarth. 1370kg.
ОтветитьImportant question: Does it come with Taiwan made BB machine, or Japan made Walkie Talkie that explode ?
ОтветитьIt is a good looking car and great innovations, however, it does look like a computer mouse in side profile
Ответить👌
ОтветитьA Lotus is a British sports car with a Ford four cylinder motor. Anything other than this is not a Lotus.
Ответить“3500lbs” ….which equates to a little over 1500kg.
So, twice as heavy as a Lotus Elise Series 1 then.
Yeah, very light!
Sam has bought all white color shirts in whole Australia
ОтветитьGet to bed bro the car will come faster when sleeping
ОтветитьCheers bro
ОтветитьBeautiful!!
ОтветитьIn Lotus position on the back seats?
ОтветитьYou're basically a Lotus engineer now Sam.
Ответитьwhy 3 seats that seems so weird
ОтветитьIt also has carbon wheels a floating seat design where the driver seat is in two separate pieces and speakers in the headrest likely for weight saving
Ответить3 seats, a Super Family Car ? I can see a lot of F1 drivers buying these.
ОтветитьRIMAC set a production car record on the ring and I believe also at Goodwood? the Ring 7.04 seconds under less then optimal conditions.
ОтветитьI think Geely / Lotus did a slight mistake . They should drop the 3rd seat . They could do 2 seater / smaller - lighter car and try to hit weight around 1200 kg (1000 kg ?? ) There are so many unnecessary heavy systems used like that door system and so on. Are 3 seaters with extra weight more popular then 2 seaters with less weight ??
ОтветитьIts just a "theory", its not practical for most people. That's a fact.
ОтветитьCar and Driver says this is a concept car and they have no plans to put it in production. Their article was published two days ago, Sep 17 2024.
ОтветитьIt’s a concept car that Lotus themselves state that they have no intentions of bringing it to market.
ОтветитьGrasshopper doors
ОтветитьA smaller battery that can charge faster is the goal
ОтветитьAFAIK the Lotus sports cars are going to continue to be built in the UK, with China producing the sedans and SUV's. This car is called Theory 1, and Lotus denies that this is a preview of a new Esprit, but many beleive it is.
ОтветитьIt's only a concept car Sam.
It will never be built.
When you shill for Chinese companies, you're shilling for the CCP, and supporting the regime that denies human rights for the Chinese people.
ОтветитьThis is just a concept car, Who knows if it will ever go into production and also keep the design
ОтветитьThis fascination with outrageously expensive and over powered exotica is ridiculous. I'll be impressed when Lotus delivers an EV comparable to something like the '70s era Europas and Elans. Small, lightweight sports cars. Car with a gross weight under 700 kg, 75 kW motors and battery capacities below 35 kWh providing a range around 400 km. This is possible with technology available today. Somebody needs to tell Geely that Colin Chapman's philosophy of "simplicate, then add lightness" results in real progress. Such a product built with Chinese attention to reliability would be far more important than any burly exotic that will spend most of it's life in a garage, unused.
ОтветитьEhhhhh again a new lotus that doesnt look lotus anymore 😂
ОтветитьNio Ep3 is far older and 300kg lighter. This thing weighs 150-200kg less than a v8 lexus luxo barge... it's not actually that light. Corvettes are lighter. S2000 makes it look fat and a superlite SLC is 700kg less lol.
ОтветитьIf you think this thing will be cheap with all the Ti 3d printed stuff all over it and 2.5s 0-100 you're dreaming. It'll be 200k range at minimum. It has tesla plaid speed, similar features, far better looks, lighter, exotic style and name. Nope.
Four lidars are due to the weird shape and having no central point to really put one. Also it won't do well on track days, it'll run out of juice too quick with the small pack.
It's really a city car that looks cool and good for stoplight races.
For actual track/toy/backroad car, I'll stick with fuel.
Awesome looking Dream Sports Car !!!
😍😉💖⚡️🏎⚡️💖💯👌
could have put a even smaller battery in it. i think 50kwh would have been perfect
ОтветитьThat's not great range given the weight and pack size.
ОтветитьSo they finally built a car that is suited to the stupid short entry ramps to dual carriageways and motorways in the UK, 100yards is not enough for all petrol and diesel cars to get up to 60 and safely merge with traffic. FlyByWire is a really bad idea up around Lincolnshire where there are ground mounted Long range RADAR of the DoD/MoD which tend to scramble the electronics or most modern cars driving past the AirBases along the coast road.
Ответитьi wont be applying for a job with the new Geely plant which is in the early stages of being built 3miles away.
ОтветитьLotus in your words this is relatively affordable but lotus is crazy expensive. Both your words. Where is your car should of updated if you recieved it during the plug of course! 🤭
ОтветитьSuper or Hyper cars are good to watch, but not to drive, risking your life or health - and the fate of your family following your accident.
You can driving them safely only in computer simulator.🤷♂
I would never be so stupid to pay for something threatening my health or life.
Perfect except it's missing McMurtry Speirling vacuum down force technology
ОтветитьIf its that powerful, its only meant for track not road... so forget things about standard insurance rates... just for collectors
ОтветитьMy 2019 Kona EV weighs barely more, at 1700kg, with a 64kWh battery and 480km range. I know it's not as powerful as the Lotus, but considering its age, I'm surprised it's not much heavier than the lotus. In other words, with all the technology, new denser batteries and carbon fiber, i was expecting the lotus to be much lighter.
ОтветитьIt's a Lotus concept car...We've seen them come, & we've never seen them again....😉
Ответить
