Googling your symptoms/Google in general the internet is a double-edged sword because you can inform yourself and knowledge is power but also it can scare the crap out of you and I think as much factual information is on the internet there is equal amounts misinformation.
I wouldn't say that you're "stupid" for continuing to take the pills it's what your doctors told you to do and what you were used to.. I think it's unfortunate that your doctors couldn't tell you more about it and the pros and cons of taking them like possible side effects. It's good on you for putting this out there for other people to know and I hope that this all resolves quickly for you or you find something that helps!

I was pretty much exactly like you. Very active before I took Cipro, and now I’m just getting back into some workout routines—at a much more easy pace.

Never had joint pain before, now it’s super common for me. It sucks when you tell doctors about your experience and they don’t believe it can have such a long lasting impact.

Love the positivity though, that’s all we can keep doing and moving forward!

Hey bro, do you have an Instagram I’d be able to contact you on. I’m a month in to being floxed and I’m also a personal trainer and the gym is my life. I’m looking for help from someone that’s been through this and also how to manage still training while recovering. As I’m sure you can imagine, there is no way I don’t want to be in the gym

Its been almost 3 years since I got multi-joint tendinitis from levaquine (levofloxacin) and I still have joint pain to this day in several joint. Its kind of like they got better but they always feel on fire and its very easy to get them extra hurting if I work the joint to much. I found your videos by searching "how to recover from floxacin tendinitis". You ( and any other "floxxed" person reading this ) have my deepest sympthies.

I don't know if you'll ever read this but I think you should know that there are links between "floxxed" people and people who are hyper-mobile and or have connective tissues diseases (commonly called ehlers danlos syndromes). It might be a rabbit hole worth jumping down if your Beighton score before or after being floxxed is high. Good luck.

I was given levafloxicin in May. I have neuropathy in my hands and feet, lots of joint and tendon issues. My grip and wrists feel sore and weak. I’m hoping for improvement, but wonder if it’s getting worse. Just playing the waiting game now.
I’m sorry to hear that your issues haven’t resolved. You have a very positive attitude.
Thanks for the update !!

Great videos Jay Dunna! I have some questions it would be nice if you could write me. How are you feeling after the cipro now? I got floxxed too lol I had the same problems as you had and more. I took cipro for 5 days 500mg, 2 pills daily so 10 pills. The hard problems like achilles tendon/back/hip/eye/chest pain and burnings went away after 2-3 years. My main problem what is annoying is my scaleni muscle. Its so stiff and hard its really annoying when I wear some more tight t-shirts. Do you or someone else here is having problem with the scaleni muscle? If yes what helped you? Thanks!!
