I kinda love how it looks. Not sure I want it to be mistaken for a Rolex, would be not only dangerous as stated but also embarrassing for me, rolex is worn by people that want to show you they're rich...
It looks at least as good as the Rolex to me, some things better, some things worse. I like the dial colour and readability. I wish we had more choices, still a bit skeptical about potential repairability, being such a small company (even tho i understand movement is seiko.. dunno)
Hi Peter,
I'm reaching out because I'm at my wit's end dealing with Pitzmann. Reading online blogs about them, I realize you were made aware of their checkered history before the Pitzmann III came out. I bought that gorgeous timepiece mostly based on your review. I was really excited as it's my first mechanical watch. I wore it for 3 weeks straight at which point it started running fast. Pitzmann asked me to run a test the result of which was +2 hours over 24 hour period. Now keep in mind, at that point, we're within 30 days of receiving the watch. I asked them what my options were. They asked me to ship it at my cost so their technician could check it. I found that odd. As a consumer, anything I buy that fails that early in its life is refunded or replaced. But Pitzmann refused to agree to either of those choices and insisted that only their technicians are allowed to check the watch otherwise the warranty would be voided. I checked the watch again just to be sure and it was still running fast. So I shipped it from Canada to Korea at my cost. Now they're saying that there's nothing wrong with that watch and therefore I have to pay for shipping again. They've offered no explanation as to what could've caused the watch to run fast, insinuating that I made it all up. Listen, I'd rather stay polite but if there's one thing I won't abide, it's being made a fool. Do you have any advice? To be frank, I'm tempted to board a flight to Seoul and go look that clown in the eyes. The customer service experience I've had has litteraly been abusive. My lesson here is don't buy a watch from a microbrand that doesn't have a storefront or AP in your country.
This watch make in china
ОтветитьLooks like they already increased the price at 1299.00 I'm on the fence at 1500, no thanks!
ОтветитьI'm as concerned as you are that a fake bling watch will get me killed as quickly as a genuine, but that's the lawless urban, "defund the police" culture we live in. More than enough reason to refrain from wearing an homage watch in high crime settings. But then high crime countries and U.S. left wing-run cities are not habitable, which is why I live in a rural area where my Pagani quartz won't get me shot. The problem isn't watch value, it's urban anarchy, and that usually means drugs; dealing, using, addiction, etc.
ОтветитьThese Koreans are throwing money at "watch influencers" to promote their dumb ass Pizza Man watches.
ОтветитьI think is dofferent enough
ОтветитьWhere can i buy one? I tried to look on pitzmann website but it seems that they are out of stock for the ice blue watch.
Where else can I buy one?
Well just went to their web site and this particular model is sold out
ОтветитьLondonistan strikes again
Ответить$1,300 for a Korean Rolex homage?!! 😬
ОтветитьWhere is the movement?
ОтветитьSo it's better to be killed wearing a real expensive watch? 😅
ОтветитьI just wear classic g shock most accurate watch I've ever had.
ОтветитьI wouldnt want to be killed for a Pitzmann, or by a Pizzaman!
ОтветитьYou will look like you are trying to look like you're wearing a Daytona.
ОтветитьThe watch is really beautiful. Is Pitzmann still sending their products with dhl? I had troubles with my Pitzmann 2, someone stole the Watch out of the package and I only received the box without Watch or papers. The problem I had was, dhl doesn’t insure Watches when sending them. So I had to get my refund from paypal.
ОтветитьThe bracelet looks amazing.
Considered very high-quality. Love it.
Its not very accurate
ОтветитьAre the links attached by pins or screws? Thanks!
ОтветитьLooks good and sharp but why no Swiss/Korea Made badge :)
ОтветитьLooks to busy, and ugly shape of case.
ОтветитьA very nice looking piece. My only constructive criticisms are that although there are lots of Korean designed/branded products I like, Pitzmann doesn't sound very Korean (it sounds more German or Austrian); and I think the pushers stick out too much (I prefer the style of pusher on my Omega Speedmaster).
ОтветитьNeeds an exhibition case back....
ОтветитьGo check out Marlow out of the UK, main office in Perth Scotland selling a beautiful range of manual and fully auto with a full Swiss movements. A stand out company and all under £1,000. Just have a look.
ОтветитьYou lost me at Seiko.
ОтветитьThanks Peter. Nice review a en a very looking watch. I will hav. En. It in my radar. If in the future you get tired of it please let me know. Regards.
ОтветитьTotally dropped the ball with the name,
would have loved taking a bite out of Pizzman 3
Still can’t understand why a Korean watch has a German name. For kind of ruins it for me. I would much prefer a Korean name. Such an opportunity missed.
Ответить50m WR it´s dissapointing yet the watch it´s very beautiful
ОтветитьI considered this as its got great finishing and movement. Ended up buying a Solar Seiko Chrono quartz as the maintenance on a mechanical can be high . Plus this is not cheap but very reasonable for a mechanical Chrono
ОтветитьKimchi 😢
ОтветитьNot a Rolex, but instead, a cheap imitation. For poor people who can’t afford the real thing. Wanna be watch aficionados!
ОтветитьNo micro-adjust and only 50m water resistance seem an odd way to go IMO. Lovely looker though, for sure.
ОтветитьPeter you should try get your hands on the seiko sbtr027 its a JDM Seiko that looks similar to this watch but for $150. Meca quartz movement it really punches above its weight. Your camera work would make for a superb review
ОтветитьGreat review as always Peter the quality looks superb on the watch at that price point it looks like a 10k + watch
ОтветитьSi on en est là ; pourquoi pas seiko, moins cher encore seikomod 250e
ОтветитьA very nice watch, but it still needs to be in reach for my modest budget. Thanks for sharing. Thumbs up!
ОтветитьSay where do you sell all your watch that are given to you for review?
ОтветитьIt's too close to the Daytona for me. There are some great details that set it apart, but I wish it was more creative and had its own identity from a distance. Seiko's own mechanical chronographs using that same movement are quite distinctive and, given the choice, I'd go with one of those over something that people will either think is a Daytona or think I bought because I couldn't get a Daytona...
ОтветитьAt first glance I thought Seiko blue chrono quartz or solar but this one has its own unique details and at that price for an auto chronograph - nice.
ОтветитьRemove the tachymeter, add a timing bezel, Arabic numerals on the dial and it would be perfect
ОтветитьI own the Pitzmann II and like it a lot, I ordered the Pitzmann III last week and it's on its way in the mail. Looking forward to trying it on myself.
Also UPDATE: PITZMANN has sold out of their first run of chronos, new orders won't be fulfilled for at least a couple months
Another wow piece for my wrist
ОтветитьBeautiful watch but that date window …
ОтветитьIt’s a fake!
ОтветитьNice looking watch, very well priced for an automatic chronograph with a great calibre. I own an 8R48 SRQ023 from seiko, though more of a dress style watch than this.
ОтветитьBracelet would look much better with a nice taper
ОтветитьAll I can think of is Pitzman's mustard from the Tim and Eric comedy sketch.
