This guy is a genius...
ОтветитьCould listen for hours.
ОтветитьHe always has something interesting to say, I had this on in the background whilst I was working – kind of 'ambient inspiration' if you will let me get away with such a phrase
ОтветитьBrian Eno,You have a grateful fan in icy frozen midcoast Maine..Thank you for making my life better thru your music....
ОтветитьOk someone give this interviewer guy back his neck
ОтветитьI think he means..Fela 'Coltrane'.. Kuti....Love Eno ,though.
ОтветитьClimate change? Well, from Australia,..climate change and its 'source'- can be readily seen before sun up- if one knows where to look. Infrared photos will reveal much more
about climate change -especially near the Sun.
That was a lovely interview! The interviewer asked very good questions and Eno replied in his usual very thought-provoking fashion. There is actually quite a lot of ideas revealed in that interview to be unpacked. I wish I were 1/10 as creative as Brian Eno.
Ответитьi really like Eno and his work with the exception of U2 who are the worst most overrated group ever. idk why he would have anything to do with those tossers but money is money
ОтветитьThe worst writing in the world comes out of the contemporary art world. Without any doubt there's nothing worse in terms of sheer.... incoherence actually. First of all "the inability to express a thought clearly" and secondly... "the lack of any thoughts". So you have no thoughts, inarticulately expressed. It really is the worst kind of writing you can get... So well said, thank you Brian Eno. A handicapped-confused-cut and paste type frantically hurried "nothing" is what we've got now at our disposal unfortunately.
ОтветитьJust bought the bio, "On Some Faraway Beach" and I am very intrigued about this man's childhood and youth. I have so many of the albums and know so little about him.
Interesting chat here, too.
I love Brian 💕❤
Ответитьİ realized that this guy invented the music that makes me pass out at night.
ОтветитьOne of (if not THE) founding fathers of ambient music. Thank you Brian!!!
ОтветитьSeems to me, the "art world" is full of people saying simple things in a complicated, cluttered way. Eno strikes me as just the reverse of that. For all his critical accolades, he is incredibly unpretentious and straightforward. I could listen to him talk indefinitely. An intellectual, in every (good) sense of that word.
ОтветитьWhat a great interviewer. Thank you
ОтветитьSo, but "Ambient Music" is nothing but the electronic minimalist music which began on the West Coast starting in 71 with composers like Ingram marshall and Harold Budd, but with a different name. Eno is a brilliant, brilliant man - but this genre was not his, only his name was
ОтветитьMusic For Airports
ОтветитьBrian Eno is awesome. This is a really insightful interview. It's filled with inspiration and unique interpretations of the culture. Really enjoyable to watch this one.
ОтветитьAt about 14 min., best explanation of why ambient music is so great.
ОтветитьMusic for Airports!!
ОтветитьGosh! Just genius!
ОтветитьThat will sound strange but im a 30 years old man and my life prospect and philosophy rounds about art in a familiar way ! technology, art and revolution !
Ответитьinteresting and thoughtful research - this is when the nerd writer is at its best :) keep up the quality
ОтветитьFunny weird how the intro completely skips over the krautrock era. Quite weird
ОтветитьPeople people this guys made the U2 the band is known to you, Bono is the false person taking credit
Brian Eno made U2 what it is
It's 2019 now .. speaker here of humanity in it's present form .. looking for changes ... interesting Eno ...
ОтветитьClassic Eno, intelligence squared.
ОтветитьIntelligent conversations never bore
Ответитьgoes to my hearth
Ответитьnow thats a neck
ОтветитьBeen watching a few of these Eno interviews. He often gets asked the same questions and gives, basically, the same answers, but he seems to avoid over thinking about things, and like some creative oracle, he responds quickly, and concisely with his own ideas and formulas. It can be repetitive, and a bit hit and miss, and you can take it or leave it, but you will generally benefit from his vision, and years of experience. If not, you will at least, learn different processes and ways of doing things.
ОтветитьVery nice interview, and all respect for Brian Eno and his music. But he didn't invent ambient music. Vangelis was much earlier. IN 1970 he recorded the soundtrack for the documentary "apocalypse des animaux". Check it out.
ОтветитьDown to earth mental astronaut articulate genius.
ОтветитьBrian Eno has never produced David Bowie. He worked with Bowie as a co-creator and ideas man. Tony Visconti was the producer on the so called "Berlin Trilogy"; Low, Heroes & Lodger.
ОтветитьJust wondering, couldn't the music for airports also be used for supermarkets and phone-waits? I've had to leave supermarkets because of the abrasive 'noise' of speakers
ОтветитьI really enjoyed watching this. For a long time, I pre-judged him because of his dressing like a woman. Weird...but he's a very interesting man, and innovative. And nice-looking, too! No matter what he's dressed as. Sometimes I think blind people are at an advantage because they can't judge people based on appearance . I'm now a really big fan of Eno's. I was all wrong. Saw this when I saw a Bowie video. This quarantine has actually opened my mind. They say 'seek to understand rather than be understood"! Like, are others different from me, or am I diffferent from others! So many misconceptions. Yet it doesn't have to mean I compromise my beliefs; just make room for others'!
ОтветитьGenius but his voice does not match his appearance at all lmao
Ответить“Television has no future .... It’s finished as a medium.... It doesn’t do anything interesting.... It has no energy ....”
ОтветитьMasterful/Brill...-Eno (n this Convo.
ОтветитьI've been listening to Eno Music since the early 70's. I've amassed some beautiful paintings with Music for Airports playing in the background. Brian is a treasure.
Ответить"No thoughts, inarticulately expressed". Fuck me, scathing or what.
ОтветитьIn 2009 he saw the end of tv. Maestro!
ОтветитьI find brian eno articulate and generous, I find myself agreeing with almost everything he talks about, he really is a man who will probably be appreciated for a very long time into the future I feel primitive and backward in comparison as an artist, i love his way of looking at life, art ,music and culture. Never boring.
