Let's try the ceramic grater or the ginger/garlic grater which is pretty much a wasabi grater. Garlic presses or any perforated graters seem a bit of a nightmare to clean especially if the garlic dries up & hardens.

Epicurious should fire this chef. He's so unprofessional!

Stop when you feel uncomfortable and use the rest the way it is or cut it(I don’t think cutting is necessary but… it’s maybe someone’s choice). In my opinion we can use that final piece the way it is to add more flavor or save it to a stock.

I add it to pasta sauces and some intensely flavored dishes. One, maybe two cloves are enough for the entire pan.

He did not wipe the garlic off of the microplane. Thats a lot of garlic wasted.

How do you use the wrasp without taking off bits of your finger tips and without wasting that last little bit of whatever you are grating

I’ve had a microplane for years but I’ve found in the last year or so that ceramic plate graters far superior as far as speed and cleanup.
